Its a Dos Game not a windows game ... so use a dos emulator(dosbox) and you will do fine. I have this game on my hard drives so it will play without the CD.
I use Dosbox to play it.

For PC gamers...this plays as well as Starcraft II with out the great graphics. If your a console jockey this game is not for you... the set up does require some basic dos commands but set up was a breeze(I'm speaking now to you hardcore PC guys). Using dosbox my setup was; dynamic core at 6000 cycles, sbpro2,sbbase 220,irq 5,dma 1,hdma 5.

mount c c:\
mount d d:\ -t cdrom
c:\

open dosbox and type
d:
hdinstal

then follow setup for soundblaster pro. As far as I know this is the first real time strategy and a must have for the serious PC gamer. The copy I got was in good shape and although the jewel case was slightly damaged it arrived quickly.

I play this game on my quad core and my six core(PC gaming rigs) with windows 7 64 bit OS using dosbox. Three factions slug it out for control of Aracus, which one will you lead to victory!?! You will need to google and download the manual for security questions that are asked during the game.
