This review is from: Dungeon Runners (DVD-ROM)
I've been playing RPGs since before they were available on computers. I've been playing this one for just over a year. I love the complicated play and in depth storyline some RPGs offer, but sometimes I just want to get in there and whack things on the head. Dungeon Runners delivers the whackability.
Beat stuff over the head, or shoot it, or magic it if you prefer, until it dies (bloodlessly) (don't worry, the monsters are well compensated for their participation and always resurrect for another go.) Get experience points to move up levels and get fabulous loot for selling or using. Then go back and do it again. If the monsters get you instead, don't worry; you also have amazing regenerative powers and can jump back in there almost immediately. Along with the whacking, you can entertain yourself with wacky quests provided for each of the many dungeons available as you progress. You have to experience the in game atmosphere to believe it. This is not a game that takes itself seriously. Trust me; you really need to check it out to see what I mean here. The description on the box here at Amazon is just the tip of the iceberg. And really, you can check it out for free, and NEVER pay if that's what you want. I, however, am happy to contribute the five bucks a month, and am getting the box for the bling, not the six months subscription. Pros: A-dict-ive absolutely HI-larious on the whole, a nice community of players can play alone or in a group simple gameplay, but cleverness factor adds depth new content added often enough to keep me going for a year and counting Cons: if you have to have a developed plot, then this is not the game for you if you don't like dungeon crawlers, then this is not the game for you current level cap is 100 (OTOH, it provides a goal instead of endless wandering) people with no sense of humor will not be amused Seriously, just play it :) EDIT: Unfortunately this game site is closing down at the end of the year and I don't think any new memberships are being accepted. RIP DR.

Note: Both games on the disc are no longer playable. They are online only games that were canceled.
Avenge the deaths of the Polluteers. Find a mad dogs stolen chew toy. Talk to the scantily clad amazonian women that sells great items at a discount and buys items for the best price in townston. Pwn some noobies at PVP All this and much more comes with this game. With this box you get a 6 month subscription to dungeon runners. A gnome that craps gold and items. Exteel (another wonderful game buy NCsoft). This game has got to be seen to be believed. It makes fun of everything and anything. It is like playing fallout except third person (extremely adjustable camera by the way) role playing game(RPG). Not meant for the immature though. Don't buy this game for your kids unless #1 they are already playing it. #2 You don't mind them being immersed in adult humor. This game is updated about 1 time a month or so. So there is always new content coming in. New weapons , armor , quests , dungeons and miscellaneous great features. It will also run on pretty much any computer that has windows XP or Vista installed on it. The minimum requirements are just that low and keeping getting lower as they fine tune the game. Notes about the subscription: You keep the gnome and can still have him as your traveling buddy even after you subscription has ran out. It adds on to any existing subscription or account and can be used on a totally new account too.

for the 20$ you can pick this up for in any store you get TONS of value. it is an awesome fallback game! kind of like civ 4 or audio surf in the fact that some days you don't feel like dedicating hours to grinding out the same things you have done before. so you load up dungeon runners and get a healthy dose of madness.
one of the best things about this game over most others is you are not locked into being 1 archetype, you can be a bow wielding mage or a mage with a huge shield that tanks and spanks, or you can go for the classic mage that is in fact a mage its up to you! the silliness is strong in this one, who needs a plot when you have comedy? and this game has it in spades, poking fun at its contemporaries through yes repetitive quests, and insanely funny weapon names. even the monster names are funny and the bling gnome... is just off the wall. this game is a throwback to classic dungeon crawlers for the Genesis and tg-16, the more you hit the dungeon the better your loot gets, add to that the ability to ramp up the difficulty to increase the drop rates and you end up with something more challenging for greater rewards! i have played this game on and off for a long time now and have to say, most months i used to leave the sub on even if i wasnt playing. now with this box all the more reason. i see some merchants selling this for over 20$. they should be banned or beheaded, this is intended to be a 20$ box packed with tons of value! once you remove the 20$ part the value spirals downward until you may as well just be playing it for free or pay them through the games web site.
