Lucas Montbarron
Lucas Montbarron is the son of the former Grand Master of the Legion. He is the last of a noble and respected line. Raised in a series of safehouses by families loyal to his father's memory, Lucas will not rest until the Legion is rebuilt, and his family's honor is restored. Lucas has been taught the art of combat in the ancient and deadly style of the Legion. Lucas is a skilled swordsman, and a master of two combat stances. He can fight with a sword and shield, which allows him to attack quickly, deal heavy damage, and interrupt and stun single targets. When outnumbered, he wields a massive two-handed sword. While slower to swing and less practical for one-on-one combat, it can strike multiple foes and knock them back, making it an ideal weapon for crowd control.

Anjali
Anjali is an archon - a legend, come to life. In the old stories, archons were spirits of fire, who served the long-lost creator gods. But Anjali was raised by friends of the Legion, and she does not know how she came to this world, or what happened to the others of her kind.

Anjali can shift freely between her human form and an incarnation of elemental fire. In human form, she fights with a staff or a spear, allowing her to fend off multiple attackers while leaping in and out of the fray. In her fiery incarnation, she can hurl bolts of flame at ranged targets, flood areas with heat and fire, or inflict searing wounds that injure her foes over time.

Katarina
Katarina is the daughter of a Legion commander and a Lescanzi witch. Her mother's people are nomads and wanderers, skilled in both warfare and magic, Katarina has been trained in their ways. At long range, she fights with ensorcelled bullets and deadly curses. When foes get close, they fare no better, as they come face-to-muzzle with her pistol and her shotgun – or perhaps the jaws of her faithful black hound. Katarina is mischievous and unpredictable, but she is also devoted to the Legion's cause...

Reinhart
Reinhart descended from a great line of Legion mages, but he spent most of his life in Stonebridge, studying magic at the Collegium. As a scholar of arcane magic, Reinhart bends the forces of creation and destruction to his will. He can channel Dynamic magic through his gauntlet, shocking or stunning his foes. Or he can use Entropic magic to warp time and space, destroying large numbers of enemies from afar. Reinhart is known for his unconventional thinking and innovative magical techniques...and for his eccentricity, too.

The download service works well enough, but this is supposed to be a LAN game. Enix is forcing you to sign up for an on-line service just to play the freakin' demo! They ruined DSIII as a RPG game, and they have ruined it as a LAN game as well. Further, their internet gaming server software is the most defective garbage I have seen in 20 years. Stay away from this product; it blows!

This game is a pathetic one. It has nothing to do with Dungeon Seige I or II. It looks nothing like them, and the graphics are really cheesy.
It is a total rip off. Do not buy!!!!!

Well after taking time to download and install, this product never worked. I removed it from my system immediately! I wanted to try it out before I buy the full version. Decided not to purchase, since the demo failed.

I loved DS and DS2. This was pathetic and showed no relationship to the previous games. Moving the character around and even fighting was very painful. Clicking on locations didn't control motion. That lack of tutoring until after you needed to know, if at all was stupid. Controls for inventory were awkward. Keyboard commands were in awkward locations. It was patently obvious that the game was designed for a console and little thought went into the difference in a PC set up.

Since the original DS games had been such a huge success, and I wanted to play a new story, this was very disappointing. Then it had an easy and smooth interface and played fast. This took an hour and a half to move to a couple locations, and the only reason I survived combat was because the henchman was able to fight. There wasn't much of the pretty scenery they advertized, before I got sick of fighting the UI to move and interact with the world.

Since this is a demo, I checked how the release went, maybe they fixed these things. The reviews of console were so-so, but the PC version STILL was bad on release. They had to do a major post release fix to improve the PC version, but it only got closer to the so-so. Even at a really cheap price for the full version now, it's not worth the time. I'd rather dig out the original games. I'd have given it a negative score if I could.

I tried the game with the expectation that it would have great graphics, which it does, and that the ease of computer control of your character would be with the mouse as in other games like Warcraft or Dragon Age I & II, it wasn't. They instead opted to use the old keyboard/screen edge directional control which was very awkward 10 years ago and much more so now with today's faster paced games. Keyboard control is fine for inventory control but with today's new multifunction mice there is no reason to resort to antiquated methods like the keyboard for character control IMHO. The story line seemed fine for as much as I played the game but was not much different than any of a dozen different RPGs currently being offered. Most gamers would probably enjoy the Dragon Age series of games a lot more. Another fine game new to the market is Rift although it is not a stand alone game and is played multiplayer online.

9 hours to download on cable (they say 2.5). Didn't know it was an online version as I refuse to pay for such services. Now add that the game wants another 3+ hours to initialize. Sorry, you just lost a sale. Don't bother with the demo unless you have ample bandwidth and time to spare.
