5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully high quality, September 18, 2006

I bought two packets of these dungeon tiles, and I am quite pleased with them. I was expecting a small, between paperback and hardcover sized booklet with pages of thick paper like the map from the DM's Guide. What arrived was the same size and thickness of most hardback supplements, with six sheets of pop-out terrain. They are quite thick and seem very durable, about as thick as 30-40 pages from a typical D&D book and made from good quality cardboard-like material. In all, I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Tiles, October 1, 2006
This review is from: Dungeon Tiles (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Board book)
Well worth the small price, this item has been favored with reviews since release in August this year. I can only add that (2) sets are probably a better mix than one and go very well with the original Basic set (pre2006) that had similiar thickness tiles & miniatures. If you're using it for RPG or for the Miniature Battles style game, you'll definately want to add this item to your collection. Also note the upcoming 2 additional new sets (preorders) as these show both a support level & consistent product line that will enhance you're gaming.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality and versatile, January 9, 2007

I was a bit dubious when I first heard about these, being well familiar with the cheesy cardboard fold-outs of the past but these are really high quality/thick cardboard. Not only that but they are quite attractive and versatile, I could easily use one of these to create almost any dungeon on the fly (they are 2-sided with graphics on both sides). This set even has the classic "Ye Old Tavern" that so many adventures start in.

I think it's great they are coming out with expansions too because there are definitely some things I missed in the first release. I have ordered the 2nd pack "Arcane Corridors" (have not recieved it yet) and can't wait for "Hidden Crypts" that comes out in a month.

Now I just have to get better at using them instead of always falling back on pencil and graph paper...
