4.0 out of 5 stars It is what it is
This is the 30th Anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons collector set of dice. It contains 1d4(black), 4d6(red), 1d8(blue), 1d10(green), 1d12(yellow), 1d20(orange), and one percentile(purple). I prefer my dice to be put into sets of one color or style, so that I can easily and quickly hand out a complete set to each player. However, they are good quality dice, and will...

3.0 out of 5 stars You're better off with getting another basic game
If you need some more dice, you could get the basic game off of amazon for 16 dollars. You get the same set of dice, along with 16 minitures. You get some Kobalds, and some Orcs and Skeletons. 6 more dollars for 16 more miniutes sounds like a good deal to me.

4.0 out of 5 stars It is what it is, October 5, 2004
This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
However, they are good quality dice, and will work well for any player. This set also comes with a dice bag. The bag is black with red trim and has the D&D logo embroidered in red on it. The bag is small, won't fit more in it than the dice it comes with. If you're a player who needs his/her own set, or a dm who would like an extra set to hand out to a player at your next game, this works. However, you can probably get just as good of a set for cheaper at your local gaming store.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stephen Colbert Might Not Use 'Em, But You Can., May 10, 2006
This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
Stephen Colbert may have declared polyhedral dice obsolete, but we know better. ;-D These dice are a standard set -- d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and another d10 for percentile rolls. The bag is very nice -- well-made and with a fancy logo. The dice themselves are somewhat of a disappointment, since they are bright, almost childish pastel colors instead of something more elegant, but there's a sensible reason: novice players can quickly identify the dice by color, instead of trying to tell the difference between (say) a d8 and a d10.

1.0 out of 5 stars An excellent waste of $9.99 plus shipping, July 11, 2006

Sure, you need a set of polyhedral dice to play D&D. But these are the most bland-looking dice I've ever seen -- and the vinyl dice bag is ugly to boot. Both the Basic D&D set and the Player's Kit contain a set of dice, and they're better bargains as well. (The Basic Set contains a set of these bland dice. The Player's Kit contains a set of premium dice. Neither contain a dice bag.) And, of course, you can go to your local hobby shop and select your own dice for less than ten dollars.

Here is the deal with this...i can just go to a regular trading card/comic shop and buy my own dice for a dime (sometimes a quarter) each! Don't spend this + shipping when you can just get up out of your lazy boy chair and head on down to a card/comic shop, most of them have die's for as high as 50 cents and as low as a nickel.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
Yeah It's another set of dice, but who doesn't need more d20 right? And it's the 30th anniversary boxed set too! Complete with a complementary black dice bag with the red logo stiched in...nice touch. The dice are of nice quality, and I wouldn't hesitate on ordering if your looking into order this set.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Dice, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
The dice are nice and a good start for the game. You get everything you need to start playing D&D. The bag is a little small and does not leave room for too much expansion. A True D&D player likes lots of dice and different kinds. You can probably find less expensive dice in a hobby store. You are bascially paying for the bag with the D&D logo.

This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
The box the dice came in, was in terrible condition, however the dice themselves & the bag & the dice we're in excellent condition, I'll give this one a 3/5.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but high price, August 25, 2006
This review is from: Dungeons & Dragons Dice with Cloth Dice Bag (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) (Misc. Supplies)
These dice are good, but the price is high. The color coding is nice, for new players to look for colors instead of numbers. The dice bag is nice, but just large enough to fit the dice that it comes with. If you're like me, and your closest hobby shop is 30 miles away, this is great. If you have a hobby shop near, you'd be better off saving your money.
