The boot follows the standard new balance sizes we have been use to over the years. New Balance has had problems with their sizing standard on some models since they picked up the Dunham line. I had to return New balance shoes for the first time ever this year because of fit problems. It is very frustrating for me to loose that trust with them as I could always count on New Balance in the past.

HOWEVER, they got it right on this Dunham model. You can trust the sizing on this boot. I ordered a 10 4E like I have for years in the old new balance shoe lines and it fit just as perfectly as they did right out of the box with no break in. The boot itself is well made and looks to be very durable. It may be years before I can tell you how long they will really last.

They are VERY comfortable and provide more support than my new balance trail shoes. I completely recommend this hiker. My experience with them is limited to day hikes and weekend wear but I have the feeling they can do much more.

I needed some hiking boots and since my size is 10 1/2 EEEE I picked Dunhams. FYI online shoppers; like EVERY G* D*'d boot made in China they are NOT ACCURATELY SIZED!

I normally wear Tony Lamas. They're American Podiatrist Assoc. approved, made in Texas and their lasts are perfectly sized. I have ordered half a dozen pairs online and they ALWAYS fit like a glove. That won't happen with the Clouds. I wisely found a local shoe store and had mine fit to me. I thought they were US made like the leather models or I wouldn't have bought them at all. They are now well fit, look good and appear well made. Quality is a management issue and it is possible these guys will work well long term. We'll see how they hold up.

The miss-sizing is in the widths. The Chinese idea of EEEE isn't EEEE. You need to up the length to get the width at the ball of your foot correct. It is foolish that New Balance would compromise the Dunham brand by whoring out the manufacture to China and perverting the accuracy of sizing which built the reputation of the New Balance brand. They should fire the SOB bean counters making these crappy decisions.

I noted the two 1 Star ratings in the Amazon Reviews complained of stitching coming loose at the flexion point on the ball of the foot. That actually could be caused by the sizing problem I'm pointing out. Those shoes could simply be too tight leading to the failure at the stitching. If you do buy online buy a 1/2 or full length long. There's much cushion in the shoe and excellent lacing. You won't be too loose.

I purchased the Dunham Cloud boot in size 16b (narrow). This is the best fitting boot I've ever owed. Super comfortable and light weight too.

I highly recommend this boot!

It is getting harder and harder to find shoes that fit my size 11 4E feet.
Every shoe I buy is either to tight in the toe box or if the toe box in good the heal is too louse.

New Balnce shoe the maker of Dunham shoes has hit it perfectly. Wide 4E toe box so my pinky doesn't get squished while maintaining a normal heal so my heals don't get chafed from the shoe flobbing around.

I've only had them for 2 weeks but they are already broken in.
I can't say how long they will last yet but after 2 weeks they don't show any sign of wear.

Thank You New Balance for making such high quality at such low prices and even makeing alot of your shoes in the USA.

I bought these boots because of the sale that was going on. Yes they fit great and are nice and light.the price wasn't bad either but thats all i can say good about it. I wore them twice and the third time when i went to put them on I notice that a seam ripped out on them .They seem to be real thin material and not very durable.For a name brand shoe i'm not pleased at all with the Quality.I will not buy another pair again.

I was initially impressed by how comfortable they were. But now, just several months after purchasing them, they are coming apart at the stitching where they bend at the ball of my foot.

Update: I am still wearing the boots nearly a year later. While they appeared to be coming apart, they did not get any worse. However, they leak water and are far from being waterproof as advertised.

This boot has been a great light-weight boot for hiking and backpacking--in dry weather.

I bought these boots for my 26 year old son. I was worried that he wouldn't like the color but it didn't matter. As soon as he put the boots on he loved them. He is a glazer in the construction field and spends most of his time on his feet. As soon as I read that the boots were made by "New Balance" I knew they would not be the typical uncomfortable workboot. My son is extremely happy with these boots. He said that the name on the boot (Cloud) says it all. He feels like he's walking on clouds. Excellent product. I would recommend them to all.

I purchased this boot for someone with foot problems. They required a 4E width and ankle support and toe protection. I am happy to report that this boot offers all of those qualities and the recipient is well pleased. Just a note on the color as well, the green is more of a grey/green and actually looks fairly stylish.

If you have shoe size issues...Dunham is worth a look!
Comfortable, lightweight, reasonably priced.
In the future, I will look to Dunham first,
for any type of shoe I may need.

They look and feel good, this is probably the best shoe Dunham has. some of the shoes that I have worn from Dunham are not as good as this one.
