5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest pick a guitarist could use, December 3, 2007

This review is from: Dunlop Nylon Standard Pick Packs, .60mm/Gray (Electronics)
The Dunlop Nylon .60mm is, in my opinion, the best all-around pick a guitarist could use. I've played guitar for 10 years, and have used many, many different picks before I finally picked this up, and since have never even thought about switching to another pick. The pick is very versatile, durable and has great grip.

Versatility: Unless the only thing you play on guitar is hard rock and shred work, this pick should be your pick to use. I say this because there is no value in using a softer pick for hard rock or lead work, but if you play anything else, and know how to manipulate a pick well, there is nothing this pick cannot do. The .60mm is thick enough for any time of lead work, and thin enough for any soft strumming you'd want to do

Durability: Tortex, Celluloid, etc, may wear out. I've had many picks that have worn down after a month or so of use, but have never had this problem with Dunlop nylons.

Grip: I used to have a problem with dropping my pick in mid playing, but never did anymore after I used these picks.

If you're a versatile guitarist, this is your versatile pick. If you're not, you should still use this pick.

My son plays with Dunlop 1mm picks and I haven't found a better price anywhere than on Amazon. The only thing that was frustrating at first was they didn't mention how many were in a package. 72 picks for $19!! Now that's great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Tenor Banjo, January 29, 2012

This review is from: Dunlop Nylon Standard Pick Packs, .60mm/Gray (Electronics)
I was having some difficulty with tremolo and other picking techniques while using other picks, so I tried these picks, and they work much better! The tone is clear and crisp, with good volume, and they are comfortable and easy to play. Also recommend the .73mm thickness if you want a little more volume and stiffness - Dunlop Nylon Standard Pick Packs, .73mm/Gray
