5.0 out of 5 stars Solid frame, great value, November 16, 2011

This review is from: Dunlop Sports Mid Plus Aerogel 300 Tennis Racquet (Sports)
The 300 is a player's racquet. I switched from the 500 as I missed the feel of a thinner beam racquet and the 500 was killing my elbow. I'm 44 and have been playing competitively since I was 11.

Be forewarned, you need to generate your own power, but the tradeoff of better touch and feel is worth it. If you've grown accustomed to the Babolat cannons (and similar sticks) this racquet isn't for you *unless* you are willing to trade off all that power. I spent the last decade riding that wave and found that I was missing the feel of a more traditional graphite racquet. 4.5 and above only.

While it's personal preference, I have my own Prince stringing machine and string it on the low side, about 50 lbs. I started at 56 but gradually lowered it to find better spring on the ball.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Racquet, January 25, 2008
Dunlop added space age material, Aerogel to it's new frames. The Aerogel is strategically placed to give lightweight stiffness at specific points on the frame. Tommy Haas and Tommy Robredo both use this frame. Midsize head, good power and control. Good for all-around play.
