The 300 is a player's racquet. I switched from the 500 as I missed the feel of a thinner beam racquet and the 500 was killing my elbow. I'm 44 and have been playing competitively since I was 11.Be forewarned, you need to generate your own power, but the tradeoff of better touch and feel is worth it. If you've grown accustomed to the Babolat cannons (and similar sticks) this racquet isn't for you *unless* you are willing to trade off all that power. I spent the last decade riding that wave and found that I was missing the feel of a more traditional graphite racquet. 4.5 and above only. While it's personal preference, I have my own Prince stringing machine and string it on the low side, about 50 lbs. I started at 56 but gradually lowered it to find better spring on the ball.
