Horvath et al have collected 100 or so of the best scenes for student study, class work, and general "Whitman's Sampler" of modern plays out there for our enjoyment. By giving approximate character ages, and by dividing into gender combinations, the book is a readily accessible scene study book for any level of acting or theatre appreciation.

I just received this book to add to my library of scene books. I teach acting at a university. I am relieved to find that the book includes scenes I have not previously seen in any other scene book. (That was a lot of "scenes/seens"!) Each scene includes a helpful age/style/synopsis breakdown. Good purchase.
