5.0 out of 5 stars Duo Play, August 12, 2009
This review is from: Duo Play (Kindle Edition)
I love to read, and it is my first time to read so-called 3D graphic novel. Just wanted to see what it is like. To much of my surprise, the content layout is wonderful, and the story in such fast pace that intrigues me to turn to next page, yet the graphical image always holds me more few seconds when I turn to the next page.

I think this Duo Play has probed into a problem in the world. Abuse, and how the females take it. The strong feminism is cheering, and the erotic images are just right not going over the line of sutble eroticism.

It is wonderful that the publisher puts the dialogues as subtitle under each page. I wonder what would the real color version would be, and I will be the first to buy it.

This is my first time reading a CG graphic novel, and as the publisher said: There is nothing like it. Indeed, I just bought it to kill time, but it kills my former bias toward graphic books. It is something like a movie, yet, the graphic is between real, and half real. Hard to describe it. The characters are well created, and I bet sooner or later, some film production company will make a film out of this book. Can't wait to see if there are new titles of the same genre coming out. Very entertaining. Thumbs up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall quality novel with interesting plot, July 28, 2010

I bought this novel out of impulse. I was looking for thrillers so I bought it judging from the cover. I didn't know what to expect at first, since I've never read a 3D graphic novel before. The plot apparently appeals to female audience and reminds me of one of my favorite movie Green fried Tomatoes (1991). Well, the plot and characters are not as complex as the movie, but for the story itself it is emotional and suspenseful, it also contains quite a few violent and slightly erotic scenes. As for the graphic, I would say it is quite unique and you really have to buy it and see it yourself, each page is well drawn with movie like effects and brilliant colors. A good quality work overall !
