Be careful with sizing- Not as tight as most say, December 21, 2009
I normally wear a size small and that is just what size I would wear in this shirt, as well. I ordered two of these in Medium because so many people said to order a size larger. These ladies must be larger than they think as the shirt I received are very true to size. The Medium was far too large on me.
Sizing chart on package states
Small= sizes 4-6 or 33-34" chest
Medium = sizes 8-10 or 35-36" chest
Large= sizes 12-14 or 37-39" chest
XL= size 16 40-41" chest.
Hope this helps.

Very Warm, and Very Attractive, January 6, 2009
I bought this shirt for a friend who is attending college in upstate New York, where they major in freezing cold, strong wind and ice storms. My biggest concern when I bought it was that the shirt would have the "typical" thermal shirt texture - you know, with the little squares? Considering the price, I was also afraid that the shirt would only look thermal, but not keep her warm in the least.
I needn't have worried. The shirt has two layers: neither are thick and nothing looks textured. The shirt is just the right warmth; not sweltering indoors, and warm enough that she doesn't freeze while walking the quarter mile from the dormitories to the academic buildings. When she visited, she was wearing the shirt, and I didn't know it was the thermal shirt I bought. I thought it was a nice looking shirt she bought to look good. (those two things don't often go together)
The shirt has been laundered many times without subjecting it to any kind of special care: washed in the way only a college student can stuff a washer, and thrown in the dryer with jeans and sneakers. But it still looks new. To me, that is the ultimate compliment - looks great (even when abused while washing) and still keeps her toasty warm (but not sweaty). I plan to buy the shirt in any other colors available.
If you need to be warm despite wind chills, drafts and goofy people who prop open the doors in a snowstorm (using the dorm as a ready made snow fort), and you want to look feminine and attractive, then this is the shirt for you. I did deduct one star because the shirt ran a little bit small. My friend is a size six, and a medium fit her well. Buy a size bigger than you need.

Very Warm and Soft, May 28, 2009
This review is from: Duofold Women's Mid-Weight Two-Layer Thermal #627A (Apparel)
The material is different from the waffle-type material that you usually see on a thermal shirt. It is very soft cotton. It is mostly smooth, with tiny indentations every inch or so. It could almost be worn as an every day shirt. Sizes run a bit small. I usually get a large, but I had read on a previous review about the small size. I got an XL, and it fits perfectly. All in all this is a very good value for money. It is about 1 and 1/2 times thicker than a standard thermal, and provides more warmth. It seems like 2 layers of soft cotton bonded together. I am very happy with my purchase.
