Firstly, I knew the reviews were mixed. I figured poor reviews didn't prep good. I'm not convinced any good review is a corporate plant.

I had a non rusty truck bed. Couple spots wore through the paint to the primer, but no bad spots.

To make sure my prep was top notch, I wire cupped the entire bed to bare metal. Then cleaned with acetone and microfibers before letting dry. Then I used a primer to give me a clean painted surface. After that cured I sanded with 220 grit, and used a prep wipe.

Then began the coating. The product does not apply easy at all. The supplied roller is too stiff and doesn't have enough "squish" to get into the lines in the bed. Not to mention, the little roller broke on me half way. Anyways, got it done and it looked amazing.

About 3 weeks later I had to get a couple 2 x4s. My truck is hardly a work truck, this is just a small pickup that's cheap on gas. It was a little damp out, but not pouring. I slide these 2 boards in and as soon as they touch the liner they peel it back like cut cheese. And it would anywhere on the bed, not like it was just a bad spot. So I took pictures and a video and emailed them. Thinking it was a fluke or anything. Nope. They looked at the pictures and said "Yeah, this happens alot , send us your slip and we will refund you" and "that's why we have an aerosol can, for touch ups"

W t f. I spend days of prep on a product they know is junk? I haven't removed it all yet, but standing in the bed with dry shoes you can slide your foot or do the cigarette stamp out twist and it will peel this up.

I ended up touching up bare spots with some rattle can, and that holds better. I can't believe this stuff is even for sale. I've painted and worked on cars for years, this wasn't poor prep, its pure junk.

This is my second truck and I would have to say that Herculiner, which also cheaper, is a better product. The biggest issue with the Duplicolor Bed Armor is that it is water based and takes forever to dry. Granted that it has been humid in Minnesota recently, it's been over 24 hours and the coating is still spongy. The next issue is that the texture is very inconsistent after the second coat. The tape lines are also sloppy because of the long drying times. With my other truck the tape lines were nice and crisp. I recommend that anyone who is going to apply a DIY roll on bed liner use Herculiner or some other non-water based bedliner. This is just my opinion and experience with the two bedliners.

Ive read some of these reviews and it cracks me up. Of course you shouldn't roll bedliner on your truck in rainy, humid , cool days. I mean really guys cmon do really think paint something on your truck should be done another time then an ideal day? yes your gonna need more then one coat. I use this in my 6ft bed and on my bottom trim of my dodge truck. ive used 200$ worth of this product and love it. I use bed for scrapping and moving. yes theirs some times where it might get dug up if your using it. But that's why your paying 1/4 of a rhino job. Cant try and cheap out and then cry about it not being the best out there.....

This stuff works great, the coverage is excellent on the first coat and looks even better after the second coat was applied. I've now found dozens of uses for it on my vehicles.

Update: Amazon credited the purchase and half of the shipping. TCP global never responded to messages sent by myself or Amazon. I have ordered the kit from JEGS on line. There are differences between the TCP kit and this one. The brush, roller, scuffer, and tray are packaged in plastic. The paint can has six metal clips to secure the lid. There is also a stir stick. Either Duplicolor has changed the packaging to incorporate the plastic packaging, the clips, and the stir stick; or, I was provided a package from TCP global that was previously opened. I will provide another update after applying the product.

TCP Global is a horrible supplier. If there is anything wrong, they will not return your e-mail. You have to file a claim with Amazon. There are at least a dozen similar comments about TCP Global. Their policies will cost you shipping both ways. And, when you ship it back, you have to insure the damaged item. Stay away from TCP Global or you too will fork out $35 for shipping, and get nothing but a bad taste.

EDIT: Not nearly as good as other brands. The water based is okay for moderate use but the other products that use a catalyst are far more durable. Has been applied for several years in the back of my Ranger. Some spots are bare but i do use my truck-bed to carry snowmobiles that have very sharp carbides under the skis that tear up stuff such as steel and asphalt.

Original review: Fast shipping, great instructions, everything included except the prep spray. Coating went on very well and looks better as it thickens. Plenty of product to cover a 6 foot bed, I have a 1/3 can remaining and thinking about another thick coat to use it up.

Having used other DIY bed liner products for years with no problems I can tell you this is not bed liner. More like low grade undercoating at a premium price.Having allowed this product to dry for 48 hrs (with air moving over it) it now has all the durability of cottage cheese,Other products Ive used dry in 12-24 hrs and although not fully cured are still useable or at least weatherproof. Im hoping my local autoparts will refund my $90 if not I will still be making use of their dumpster to put this product where it belongs.
