Dupli-Color caliper paint is a durable protective coating resistant to chipping, brake dust, and automotive chemicals. Formulated with ceramic resins, this high gloss coating resists temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Caliper paint is available in an aerosol can for applying to brake calipers when removed from your vehicle, and also in a brush-on kit for applying when your brake calipers are not removed from your vehicle. I bought this product because I live in MN and during winter, our roads are full of salt. My calipers were very rusty, which made my car look old. I took the wheel off, cleaned the calipers with the cleaner that comes with the kit, (i would put a carton or newspaper underneath), and then painted my calipers. The paint goes on very nicely and dries pretty fast. Put a second hand within 30 minutes of the first one and you are done. We will see how it holds during the winter, but so far my calipers look brand new. (which make my car look GREAT!!)

This is the second tome I have use Dupli-color brake caliber paint and as long as you follow the directions it works and looks great. It is very important to get all the brake dust and dirt off the calibers or drums before painting the caliber or brake drum. It is easy to use but it usually will not not cover with just one coat. There is plenty of paint in the can to cover calibers numerous times. It is a good idea to keep the remainder around , I have found that when having your tires rotated that some places do not use care when reinstalling your tires and sometime chip the paint. As long as you have the paint around it is easy to touch up the calibers. Make sure you pick a paint color that goes gook with your car, Red goes good with dark Blue and Black , but I had to use silver with my metallic blue on my Buick.
