I practice a few golf swings in my basement every day, and I have always needed a golf mat. I had owned Wilson chipping mat (from Modell's), Club Champ golf mat (Sam's Club), and an expensive Fiberbuilt 12" x 24" mat. The Wilson and the Club Champ mats got ripped apart in a couple of months. The Fiberbuilt did last for a while, but the fibers eventually worn short by my irons, creating a fine mist of green powder.
Being disappointed I did quite some research and decided to give Dura-Pro a try. I bought this 4' x 5' commercial mat last year. The mat arrived quickly. It was heavy and felt substantial. I put it in my basement, and have been practicing on it ever since. After one year of abuse the mat holds up surprisingly well. Yes it does have some wear, and I even managed to make a small cut while trying some stupid swing thoughts. But all in all it is so much better than anything else I had owned before. Given its current state, I figure I can use it another 3 to 5 years without needing another one. Try it and you won't regret.

Five stars so far. But since it has a very long warranty, I will hold my final opinion for years. It looks very much as advertised. Have hit off the tees and from the turf as hard as I can swing... not a scratch. Big enough to stand on and swing any club you have. I ordered this commercial model because I wanted to hit chips, pitches, and full swings from the turf. Looks like a winner.
