1) Instant USB Charger - (1150 mAh) USB and mini-USB ports, Up to 35 hours of backup power. Use the cord of a USB, micro-USB, or mini-USB device to plug into the Instant Charger's appropriate ports.

2) Powerhouse USB Charger - (2000 mAh) Can charge two devices at once, Up to 60 hours of backup power USB port and swinging mini-USB arm. Use the cord of a USB or micro-USB device to plug into the Powerhouse Charger's USB port.

3) Pocket USB Charger - (500 mAh) Up to 15 hours of backup power. Swinging mini-USB arm.

The last one (#3) is the device you should be reviewing. Which according to duracell is only 500 mah which is great for extending your portable electronics runtime because it is compact, light and it fits easily in your pocket. If you want longer run times get the (#1) Instant USB Charger or need to charge 2 devices at once get the (#2) Powerhouse USB Charger.

So please only review the product if you have the correct product info and you know your needs. All three of these devices work well for each of there designed usage.

My husband is always using his cell phone at work and doesn't have the ability to place it on a charger. We have even used extended life batteries in the past for various cell phones he has had. This device has truly helped him to keep up with the demands he makes on his cell phone batteries. A small device easy for carrying around and quick to charge up his cell phone.

Ordered this as a secondary portable cell phone battery charger.

I have the Duracell Powerpack which the package says 2000 mah, however this one incorrectly says in the description is is 2000 as well.

I received this today and it is only 500mah. That means it maybe will give my cell phone 30-40% charge since it is a 1300mah battery.

I will be returning this and ordering the POWERPACK instead of pocket usb charger. Please check carefully before you order this item. 3 stars as this is not a bad item just not what expected.

The description doesn't mention that there is no *female* usb port on this thing so all you can do is charge things that have a mini usb port, but you can't charge random USB devices (eg iPhones)

I purchased this item to allow me to charge my Blackberry phone when I go geocaching. When I received it the male end of the unit was too large for my phone. I was going to send it back but checked in at Radio Shack and was able to buy the adapter that takes it from a mini to a micro connection which is what my Blackberry Storm 2 has. So now I can charge my phone while walking around. The unit itself recharges on your computer through a USB port.

The description states that this battery works with devices that use Micro USB. This device only work with Mini USB. It accepts Mini USB input with a converter to full USB if you need that. It supports Mini USB output. There is no converter to change the output to Micro USB.

The Amazon description is incorrect. The pocket USB Charger is only 500mAh, 1/4 the specified capacity on the Amazon description. Amazon refunded the purchase, but has still not updated the description (it's been a month). 500mAh will not provide meaningful charge to most devices (only about 20% charge of a smartphone batter, for example, because there's some losses in the discharge/recharge)

Note: I did not buy one of these products. I was intrigued by an add. As an Electrical Engineer, I did some math.
If anyone sees an error in my math, please point it out.

The description here claims "Portable 500mAh Lithium-ion battery for portable devices".
Duracell's site indicates 2000mH [...]
For those for which it is not obvious, it means that it holds 4 times the energy that the description on this page.

It's not clear if the 2000mAH is at their battery voltage of 3.7V or the output USB voltage of 5V.
I'll be generous and assume it's 5V. That means it contains 10000mWH of energy.
To give you an idea of what that is equivalent to, a AA NiMH (rechargeable) battery (1.2V, 2500mAH) would be 3000mWH.
And there are voltage boost and drop losses associated with the charging dropping that value by 20% or more.

So, it's got about the capacity of 3 AA batteries.

It might completely charge your device, depending upon the battery size of your device.

I can't figure out the dimensions, but I might buy one of these.

I'd stear clear of the "Duracell Pocket UBS Charger" about $21 here on Amazon.
As my review of that product states, the 500mAH capacity is less than a AA battery...

The Amazon description is inaccurate. This is actually a 2000mAh battery. Also, it can be used to charge two devices at the same time. See the Duracell web site, where I got this information. I do not have this device, so my three-star rating is not to be relied on.
