I have an Iphone 5 (just upgraded from the 4) and a blackberry for work, my husband has a Samsung Galaxy (he just upgraded from the iphone 4). We have the compatible cases (I just bought the new iphone 5 case with extra battery pack which is awesome). So we have been using these mats for a long time but didn't want to invest in more than 2 until we were sure we liked the products. I just ordered my 6th mat. We each have a single on our night stand, a double at work so we can charge our phone and power cube thing, a triple in our kitchen and another one in our living room. We have been using these mats for 2 years now and we bring a double when we travel so we don't have to bring separate cords for all our devices. This has become an invaluable product for me since I got the iphone 5. I leave my cord in the car so that I can charge it when I'm driving and rely on the mats to charge my phone otherwise. If I didn't have these mats I would need an apple cord for charging at the office, in my house, in my car and one for travel and they are really expensive. I highly recommend. The one downside is that the cases for the phones are pretty simple and limited. Just black or white right now. I used to have a pink one for my iphone 4. I called the company and they told me that they are working with case manufacturers to get their technology into thousands of other cases so hopefully there will be more options to chose from very soon!

I recently had to switch over to a PMA charger (from Qi) due to AT&T restricting wireless charging on devices to PMA only. Unfortunately there isn't as wide of a selection of chargers. However, I bought two of these Duracell Powermat chargers: one for my office and work and one for my nightstand.

What is interesting about this charger which I didn't have in my Qi chargers is a magnetic pull in the center. This really helps guide the device to "lock into" place.

Some quirks about the charger: As others have mentioned, it has an electronic swish sound whenever a device is placed or removed. It also has a white LED which temporarily lights up on placement. These are nice, as it provides positive feedback that your device is correctly placed and is charging. However, it would be nice to have a switch on the device to disable this, as it's annoying at work when I frequently pick up and place down my phone.

Used with Incipio phone case for Nokia Lumia 1520 cell phone, this is a great wireless charger and it is not that expensive. Great for easy charging.

I tried the Duracell Powermat charging system one step at a time for my Nokia 1520. I am admittedly a bit picky about phone cases so I ordered the Incipio charging case first figuring it would likely be too bulky or a dud in some other way. Only if I liked the case would I then bother ordering the Powermat charger. Cost of the case was only $25 via AT&T (sorry Amazon). Cost of the charging pad is less than $20 when purchased as part of an Iphone bundle.

I've been using the Powermat charger for over a week now so it goes without saying the case exceeded my expectations in every way. I didn't find the added bulk of the case significantly more than any other case I've used through the years. Moreover, I like the fact that the micro USB jack of the phone itself is fully exposed as are all phone buttons and the headphone jack.

Most negative reviewers apparently don't read enough ahead of time to understand the Powermat is NOT for Qi charging or are obsessed with the unused Qi coils in the 1520 itself. Personally, I am far happier with the Powermat and coils in an external case. Googling overheating issues with the Qi system vs. the Powermat system was an eye opener. Suffice it to say I developed an appreciation of the Powermat system before I ever tried it. I'm sure there are plenty of Qi systems that work just fine but cramming an inductive coil inside an already overstuffed phone begs for for higher temperatures and the associated potential trouble. My actual charging on the Powermat confirmed a minimal temperature rise on the back of the 1520 case under all conditions so far. Proper alignment of the phone on the pad to achieve charging is not particularly difficult. The audible confirmation tone leaves no doubt about when the phone is charging.

Bought the Powermat to wirelessly charge my LG G3 and save wear and tear on the micro USB port. The pad is a bit tricky to use and if the phone is not placed precisely in the correct spot, one may wake up in the morning with a phone that has less charge on the battery than when it was placed on the mat the night before. And unlike charging with a cord, the Powermat does not keep the battery topped off at 100%. From what I have observed, the Powermat will allow the battery to drop to about 95%, at which time it will charge again. So in the morning, your phone's battery could be somewhere between 100% and 95%.
UPDATE: 2/16/15 The update to Lollipop somehow messed up the charging with the Powermat. I no longer get an icon on the screen of the phone to indicate the magnetic connection with the mat is successful. The Powermat quits charging for no apparent reason, at 80% to 90%. Attempts to reposition phone still won't provide a 100% charge.
I've given up on the Powermat and back to using a reliable corded charger.
If the pricing of the Powermat is any indication, the list price is $49.99, in November '14 it sold for $37.00, in December '14 it was $15 and now it is under $10. Not selling well? AT&T abandoning their effort to push PMA technology?
Dropped my rating from 4 stars to one star. The Powermat's inability to reliably provide a 100% charge overnight and the hassle of trying to position the phone exactly right makes it useless.
