The Duracell 'mini charger' (CEF20) included in this package is shaped like a computer mouse, and about the same size. It is 'smart' in the sense that it charges 1 to 2 AA/AAA cells independently, and stops charging when each cell is full. The indicator light turns red during charging, and turns green when both cells are done. It will even blink if you insert an alkaline cell.
The two rechargeable NiMH cells in this package are the `Pre-Charged' type, which means they have very low self-discharge rate. The actual batteries may be either rebranded SANYO eneloop (white top) or Rayovac Hybrid (black top) cells. Most people prefer the white top. But according to my testing, the difference between those two versions is very minor. So don't sweat it even if you got the black top.
The only problem with this package is that: the mini charger is way too slow. The charging current is only 280mA for AA cell, and 110mA for AAA cell. That means it takes about 8 hours to fully recharge the two 2000mAh AA cells in this package. This makes it unsuitable as a travel charger, since you usually have to recharge in a hurry while traveling.
Considering its low price, this package is still a good value. But it you need shorter charge time, then consider the Sanyo Eneloop 2-cell Charger (MDR02) instead. This unit is just as compact, but its charging current is twice as high at 550mA, so the required charging time is reduced by half.

Overall, the pros of the Duracell Mini Charger (CEF-20) are balanced by the cons. It's OK, so if you're looking for an inexpensive but smart charger with good build quality, and don't mind that it's slow and bulky, then it may be a fit for your needs. But for those willing to spend more, there may be better options out there. (Check NLee's most recent recommendations, that's the go-to source for battery and charger reviews.)
PROS:
"SMART" CHARGING: Each battery is charged separately, so you get the right amount of charge to recharge each battery.
INTERNATIONAL VOLTAGES: It can handle 110 - 240V, so all you need is an adapter for the prongs or access to a US-style "shaver" outlet.
FOLDING PRONGS: It will play nice with the other things in your luggage.
CONS:
SLOW: As NLee notes, the current this outputs to charge is low (280 mA AA, 110 mA AAA). Duracell estimates 8 hours to charge.
NOT SMALL: To me, this seems about 30%-40% larger than it needs to be. It's 4.5" long, 2.25" wide, and 1.6" thick. (You can get a sense for it's not-mini size by looking at the photo - those are AA batteries in the pictures, and the charger is much larger. I have a 4-battery charger that's not much bigger than this. That picture of someone putting it in their jeans pocket is do-able but ridiculous.)
This "mini" charger is longer, wider and thicker than it needs to be. Someone should have told the designer what "mini" means.
Also, the color of the cover is a lovely metallic color (green in my case), but the cover seems pointless or worse - charging batteries get hot. The cover is pretty but superfluous.

I got these with a coupon. Two batteries with BLACK heads and the charger. I'm not impressed but I can't complain a lot remembering the price. The charger is a small slow charger. Not a bad option if you want to have one in home and you are not a heavy user of aaa or aa batteries. The batteries or OK! I compare them to Energizer batteries I bought from Walmart. I liked the old Duracell batteries with all green shell much better for my camera. It's been a few years I haven't seen them around.

I bought this because I use a lot of batteries between my wireless mouse and xbox controllers. I bought a lot of extra batteries and I just take turns charging and using them. Whatever two batteries I'm not using I leave in the egg (that's what he shape is) and if plugged into the wall after they stop charging the light turns green to let me know that they can be used. I haven't had any problems with the batteries not lasting as long and I've had them for quite a while now.

The batteries hold solid charge, came fully charged btw.
