Our dog loves the taste. I love the smell. The arthritis in my dogs front legs has been particularly helped. She gets these 2x daily

Greyhounds are susceptible to joint problems and osteoarthritis, unfortunately resulting from their careers on dog tracks. We also find that much of their care is quite different to what other dogs get and many vets don't know about the differences. Recently our vet recommended we try this product in addition to the glucosamine product she had been getting. The results have been "greyt" as we greyhound owners like to say. At nearly eight she started back to playing hard and taking longer walks, and the limping has nearly stopped. There won't be a complete cure, unfortunately,as some things can't be reduced, but obviously this product has been very helpful in relieving her pain.

we have a 9 year old labrador retriever with arthritis in her left hip. she was unable to walk more than 2 blocks without having to sit down. when she would get up from a nap, she would be stiff and sore. we started giving her duralactin and she is like a frisky young lady again! she runs in the park and is able to go on 2+ mile walks with no problem whatsoever. i recommend duralactin to anyone i encounter whose dogs are slowing down. i love that it is natural - it took about a month for it to get into her system (she is on 2 pills per day) - i love my dog and am thrilled that she no longer is in pain.

It's so difficult to judge the degree of pain a dog is feeling. I'm trying to be objective with this review and it seems that Duralactin K-9 Chews has helped my 15 year old border collie. She appears to have less difficulty getting up and is able to walk longer distances. She is also taking Nutramax Dasuquin which is glucosamine hydrochloride, MSM and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate. It certainly is worth trying because the vet prescribed NSAIDS are so damaging to your dog's system.

Here comes the big but; get Microlactin tabs instead. Swanson Ultra MicroLactin Double-Strength 1000 mg is only $13.99 (plus $5 shipping) per bottle of 120 tablets.

Extremely disrespectful of Duralactin to take advantage of customers by charging them $29 more for the dog version of Microlactin.

We have a 10 year old St. Bernard. She was getting very stiff and arthritic and would just want to lie down all the time and stay inside. Since starting her on Duralactin, I've noticed she has been up and about much more and even has begun to be more playful and frisky again. She does better going for walks as well. She likes the chewable version and gobbles it up whenever offered. We give her 3 a day.

I have a Miniature Schnauzer who is 10 years old. He has been having issues with his joints for years. And for years I've been giving him Synflex, through the years his knees would continue to bother him. Just recently he had been licking both his paws and hadn't been able to walk. The vet was dumbfounded because his paw was swollen and it wasn't near his joints. He x-rayed his paw and didn't find any abnormalties, just that the joints were off a bit. So he suggest some anti inflamation pills and Duralactin. He got diarrhea, so the vet cut off the pills and we continued with duralactin. He's been doing fine now. He's walking more and playing more with his little sister. He's still an older dog and sleeps and rests more, but at least he's not limping anymore. I'm going to continue using duralatin and cut out the synflex. I hope that his last years will let him continue with less pain when he walks and jumps.

We tried Duralactin after our 7 year old Pit Bull had a limp. We used the product for 7 days and our dog started eatting grass ravenously, but the limp went away. He does have a sensitive stomach, lactose intolerant, so we thought it may be something else, as one of the the manufactures "selling points" for Duralactin is no stomach side effects. We were giving glucosamine at the time with Rimadyl. So we stopped everything and started over with just the Duralactin. Again, 7 days later he had all the symptoms of lactose intolerance, cramps, gas, diarrhea. The Vet told us to give it to him with a full meal, and pepcid ac. We are afraid if we feed him twice a day, he will gain weight which willl exasperate the problem. So we had to take him off of duralactin and are currently using Rimdayl, half the prescribed dosage, (afraid of the side effects). One week has passed and he seems fine. But he is NOT nowhere near how good he was doing on the Duralactin. SO if your dog is fine with lactose, I HIGHLY recommend the product we saw results within 5 days. If the Rimadyl causes problems will try the Duralactin again, half the prescribed dosage with one meal. I am willing to give it another try, THAT'S how GOOD it is. But DO NOT believe the manufacture's promise of no gastric side effects.

My dog has multiple health issues and for personal reasons I prefer to treat him naturally - he recieves Chiropractic, accupuncture and natural pain relievers. Duralactin was added to his supplements about a year ago and he is doing very well. The addition of this to his Pain Plus and Glyco-flex is helping him to live longer and happier and most of all pain free.

Duralactin is a wonderful all natural vanilla-flavored chewable tablet that had been recommended by the veterinarian for our older dog's arthritis. Due to its anti-inflammatory effect it really seems to help alleviate the stiffness in her back legs, especially when taken in conjunction with Cosequin DS (also a vet recommendation). - - The combination is great for our 13 year old shepherd-mix!
