pretty darn good, April 26, 1999

This review is from: Duran Duran: Decade [VHS] (VHS Tape)
this video, while it delivers what it promises, just doesn't live up to the Duran Duran - The videos tape I just bought. This new tape has all but 4 of their videos (carless memory, night boat, my own way, and lonely in your nightmare)on it, plus all of their new ones. Definately check it out

I've been looking for the more obscure videos (Night Boat,The chauffer,Lonely In Your Nightmare).I was hoping to find them here, and I'm very disapointed.A second edition would be snached up by us Duranies-especally if they were the uncut versions.

Pioneers of muisc video culture, April 7, 1999

Released in 1989 as a companion to a greatest hits albm, this long-form video showcases the first band to capture and celebrate the music video genre. Included are the James Bond-esque mini-movies for "Rio", "A View To A Kill', "Skin Trade", and the all-time classic "Hungry Like The Wolf" (coincidentally Sold Gold's first Video Of The Week). You love them, or you hate them, but it's tough to ignore them and not to enjoy what most bands today look back on as historical precidents, thanks to directors Godley & Creme, Russell Mulcahy, Simon Milne, & Big TV.
