5.0 out of 5 stars Answer to prayers, February 19, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Durex Play Longer, Desensitizing Lubricant (1.0 Ounce) (Health and Beauty)
Like thousands of other men, I have struggled with premature ejaculation for years. I have searched everywhere for a solution but it only added to my frustration. Finally, I decided to give this product a try. The first time I used it, i was not too impressed. The second time, I decided to apply it about 5 minutes or so before my wife and I had sex and I lasted for well over an hour! I can not describe how much better it is in bed for my wife and I. I use this every time we have sex and I am able to give her what she deserves and can enjoy things longer! Take my advise and if you have struggled with this problem at all, buy this product. It works!

5.0 out of 5 stars She says "wow!" now for a different reason, September 23, 2005

At first she said wow that was fast. Now she says wow I am tired after having climaxed multiple times. As a member of the 45 seconds club I pleased to announce that the product works extremely well. Contrary to what has been said it does now prevent an erection. In my case it got me extremely hard. The lube is small so don't use too much. The reason the lube is small is because the gel is extra strong, get it. Don't use this product for quickies (duh!). Make sure you have at least 1 hour or more to play, trust me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best if used in the following way..., March 9, 2006
This review is from: Durex Play Longer, Desensitizing Lubricant (1.0 Ounce) (Health and Beauty)
First what you may know about this cream...then a couple of secrets:

The creams that decrease sensation usually include a form of lidocaine/benzocaine that acts to decrease feeling in the same way as medication taken at the dentist's office or like what I used as an ER physician before stitching a wound.

These creams seem to work best in younger males who have no trouble with getting an erection but do have trouble with having prolonged sex.

These creams do not work as well for older men. With an older man, there may actually be some decreased sensation already (especially if he smokes or has diabetes), and the premature ejaculation may be more from the inability to know the edge of the beginning of orgasm (due to lack of sensation) rather than from over stimulation.

That much you probably already know, here are a couple of tips that could be new to you...

1. After you make it past about 10 to 20 minutes of sexual intercourse, most men will make it to what I call the "safe zone." It is comparable to when you feel like you have an uncontrollable urge to go to the toilet but if you're confined to a car for too long you may eventually lose the urge. It will reappear and eventually you will go...but you can have an increase and decrease in the urge while you try to stay continent (not urinate or defecate). The same principle applies to ejaculation! Here's how to best use the principle without using these creams...

Use a condom, or even two condoms and every other trick you know (see my book for more tricks), until you feel that you've passed into the safe zone. Then remove the condom and feel the more intense sensation and still avoid ejaculation.

2. Here's one of the most powerful yet simple tips I know. I am almost hesitant to give it out so freely because some people tell me that this one tip did more to solve PE than any other tip (and alone was worth the price of the book I published on this subject). It seems simple; but it's a powerful technique, so here it is: make sure your bladder's completely empty before starting sexual intercourse. Even a small amount of urine in your bladder will increase the urge to ejaculate (there's some cross over of inervation). If after 30 minutes or so of sexual intercourse, you start near the edge of ejaculation, try taking a short break and urinating again.

There's no cure for many cancers, but PE's a problem that can be solved. It's a shame that so many simple remedies aren't taught commonly...even to physicians who treat the problem.

Use these two tips in combination with this cream (if you're a younger man) and you should see some improvement.
