I've made several cakes and they have been great.

This definitely is the way to buy food coloring ... forget about those tiny little bottles at the grocery store!

The product itself gives a beautiful color and doesn't seem to impart any additional flavor.

I recently began baking Red Velvet cakes and was surprised at the cost and difficulty of locating and buying single bottles of red food coloring for the cakes. These cakes take two TABLESPOONS of food coloring per batch and when the batch is doubled, as I frequently do in order to make a four layer cake, the food coloring was becoming very costly. I was only able to find single small (I think 2 oz bottles) of McCormick in the stores. Maybe there are other places to purchase larger bottles but I am not aware of them. I also purchased a couple boxes of multi-color food coloring from the Grocery Outlet and just used the red. This no name brand imparted a slightly unpleasant flavor to the cake. I was hesitant place an order for such a large quantity of Durkee without first testing it in the cake. My concerns, however, were unwarranted! I've made several cakes and they have been great. This is the BEST deal I have found for purchasing red food coloring and now I don't have to pay $3.00 for a small bottle from which I can only bake one cake.

I bought a three-pack of 16-ounce containers. They are in plastic bottles with a flip-top, which I like, you can easily drip in a few drops of food coloring versus the tiny glass bottles from the market which get expensive fast when you're using this to mix up hummingbird food (1:4 sugar to water, so 1/4 cup for 1 cup of water, etc). I understand that the hummingbirds don't care about the red dye, but I like to see what the level in the feeder is. And it just looks good. This dye seems perfect for the job, and compared to the supermarket price for the red dye in the little glass bottle this was a STEAL.

This definitely is the way to buy food coloring ... forget about those tiny little bottles at the grocery store! We love the quality of this Durkee food coloring, and we love the fact that it is bottled in 16-ounce containers. We always us it in red velvet cake, and it doesn't break the bank. The coloring is rich and works very, very well. Highly recommended ...

My red velvet cake recipe was costing me about 8 dollars a cake in red food coloring. Things were getting out of hand fast. This is saving me a ton of money. A great way to buy food coloring.

The product itself gives a beautiful color and doesn't seem to impart any additional flavor.

I bought this as a gift/trade to a lady I know back home. She makes the most awesome pickled mango. She promised to make me some but she needed more food coloring. Back home, they only sell those little drip bottles (maybe 1oz?) and they are super expensive. First thing I do is check Amazon, BAM, 16oz bottle for what? with free shipping to Hawaii, what? SOLD. Got here in 3 days... 3 freakin days! 5 stars!

I love to make red velvet cupcakes, but to get a deep red color you need to use an ounce of food coloring...an entire little bottle. This gets expensive quickly, so I turned to Amazon. This was a much better price than buying the tiny bottles! Thanks!

I was hesitant to purchase this because it's so cheap of a price, I was worried the quality would be poor. But instead of paying $4.09 for 2 ounces of coloring, I can get this and not have to sacrifice quality. Completely recommend!

Shipping was also well done and prompt.

The packaging on this item was not sufficient as all three bottles arrived with broken caps, which is quite annoying as knocking one of these big bottles of red coloring over would make a huge mess. Once you remove the paper seal from the bottle top, there is nothing to keep the dye from seeping out of the cracked tops if the bottle gets knocked over. This item needs to be package with bubble wrap around it to prevent this from happening.
