I use this rub on my babyback ribs, this stuff is dynamite. Too bad they have stopped making it in the large chef size container, its still worth the money if you want people to look at you and say, hey whats on the ribs? its great!

First off, I am a Texan girl, born and raised. I've had my share of BBQ. Ribs, chicken, beef, you name it, I've pretty much been there. I am always on the spice aisle in the grocery looking for new things to try on my chicken and pork ribs. I ran across this chicken and rib rub while I was out a couple days ago, and I bought a big pack of country style pork ribs... huge, meaty. I don't have a smoker, and I don't have a BBQ pit of my own, but I do love my crock pot. I didn't know how it would turn out, but I figured I'd give it a shot. When I got home, I took the seal off of this Durkee rub and gave it a big sniff. My first impression was, "Wow, that smells amazing." So I rubbed my pork ribs down with the stuff, and put them in my crockpot. No other seasonings, no veggies, I just wanted the ribs to have a good flavor on them, and once they cooked down a bit, marinate and cook in their own juices. I let the crockpot go overnight on low, around 9 hours. Got up in the morning and all I can say is that my boyfriend and I are totally hooked. The flavor from the rub is unlike anything I have ever tasted before... it is absolutely tantalizing. Please do not pass this stuff up if you see it in the store - I can only imagine how it would taste when used for it's actual purpose instead of my weird way in the crockpot. :) I will say that I'm going to go buy another pack of ribs tomorrow and do the same thing again, just so I can shred the meat up and make sandwiches and the sort. I hope they never quit making this stuff!

This is one product that will turn your BBQ ribs and chicken into an event that your friends will remember. I use to use BBQ sauce until I tasted this rub on my ribs and now I am hooked. For outstanding ribs, rub the ribs with Durkee Grill Creations St. Louis Style Chicken & Rib Rub and cook on the grill at 250 degrees using indirect heat. I previously was able to by this at Sam's Club in the large (I think 29 oz) size but it is no longer available there so I have to buy it in the smaller size, but I still buy it. It is an incredible seasoning blend. I especially like it on roast beef, done in a crock-pot. I just rub my roast down with a generous amount of this seasoning and put it on low in the crockpot for 6 to 8 hours, depending on the size of the roast. I usually buy chuck or arm roasts. I add nothing to the crockpot and the meat cooks in its own juice. I have done this with pork roast also, and it was also delicious. Makes excellent 'pulled pork' for bbq.

I was in search of a good rub for chicken and bought this on a whim. No reason really except I recognized the brand name & it just looked good. I gave it a try for the first time & it was great! I used it in the oven. It gives your food a kick without it being overly spicy. It has a great flavor! Can't wait for summer again so I can try it on the grill. Think this would make for great sandwiches as well.

I've been using this product for years now and I still get compliments on how well it makes my chicken or pork chops taste. I recently used it on grilled pork chops for my daughter's 15th birthday party and everyone loved them.

I am currently out of the country with limited access to my home recipe of spices for grilling. Sooo, I searched and searched and found this to be the closest. I even took a chance and ordered (2) bottles. BAM! After using it and receiving mad reviews such as "this is the best rib I have ever had". I gave credit to the grill rub and of course my delicate skills on the grill! I will now make this a staple when I get back home!!

On 9-5-09 we had long time friends over for supper and I grilled 3 chickens using the "Beer Can Chicken method" on my Weber gas grill. One of the couples had never had "Beer Can Chicken". They could not believe how moist, tender and easy it was to grill. I also used some apple wood chips to enhance the flavor. The taste is fantastic. I buy the Durkee's in bulk and give the rub to family and friends. Way to go Durkee's.

I first bought this item in Iowa and used it on chicken and ribs. I then tried it on steaks. I loved the flavor it gave to the steak, chicken and ribs. BBQ or oven, it stills add's a great flavor. The only down side would be if Durkee quite making the rub. Take a chance and try this product and you won't be disappointed.

Best damn rub i've had that wasn't home made. Good for any kind of meat (even pulled pork!!!). Cook them ribs low and slow.
