THIS IS THE SECOND STICK I HAVE PURCHASED. THIS HANDY ITEM HAS 101 USES AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I EVER MANAGED TO GET ALONG WITHOUT ONE. I HAVE REPLACED MY BULKY REACHER GRABBER (OKAY, I HAVE A SERVICE DOG THAT PICKS UP EVERYTHING I DROP) AND NOW CARRY ONLY THIS EXTREMELY LIGHT WEIGHT GO EVERYWHERE WITH ME ITEM. IF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD ONE, BELIEVE ME, YOU WILL THANK ME FOR THIS REVIEW ONCE YOU DO. ONCE AGAIN KUDOS TO DURO-MED FOR YET ANOTHER INCREDIBLY USEFUL, AFFORDABLE ASSISTIVE DEVICE.

I paid around $2.00 for this and it is a great little "reach" stick. I have a high closet rung and it works well for reaching up there to get something down. Can't beat it for the price.

I recently had hip replacement surgery and dressing myself was difficult. Once I got the hang of using this it made things like getting pants and underwear on so much easier. Now that I am feeling better it is great for removing socks.

I have bought 2 of these. The first for myself after hip replacement and now the second for my dad who has limited mobility. Great for getting dressed, couldn't have gotten underwear or pants on without. My dad wants it specifically to get pants off and on.

I bought this for my boyfriend, who has a stick like this in every room of the house. I had never bought one for him before, but he loves this one. It's exactly what his other sticks look like; great for the price.

I recently had total hip replacement surgery. The OT who
came to my house recommended this as an aid for dressing. This small stick is the most useful tool in my kit! It helps me get my pants on, helps me pull my socks up, is a great tool for reaching in high places! I love this tool.

Like having an arm extension,

After having a total hip replacement I couldn't bend to get dressed. Worked like an arm extension to aid in reaching pj. bottoms ect. Also for aid in putting on and removing house slippers/socks where others tools wouldn't work as slippers were too flimsy. Also worked as a back scratcher. There is also a hook on other end for Hanging. Wall/belt-loop ect. Both ends are rubber coated for safety and less slippage. Overall good product and multi-tool.

Great for individuals who have had back surgery or cannot bend over and lift. Makes dressing much easier and quicker. Great for picking up clothing that has fallen to the floor.

After a major surgery, this device sure comes in very handy! This makes me more independent and without needing much help from others.

Just Okay,

The stick is very thin (too thin) and very light (too light) and shorter than I had hoped and needed. Made of raw unfinished wood and not sanded very smooth. A basic cup hook on one end for pulling zippers (a little large and at a bad angle for some zipper styles) and a plastic covered wire hook on the other end. The hook does not have any real "grab" for pulling up jeans or sweatpants and the pants slip off. The service dog then laughs and takes over for the stick. The quality is on the ultra-cheap and looks horrible in my bedroom and in my life. It also arrived wrapped very tight in lots of plastic wrap wrapped around it and tied into knots and then wrapped in tape. Apparently some sort of sinister plan to keep anyone from actually getting to the product... not to mention an obvious difficulty to those intended to be served by the product. |
