4.0 out of 5 stars Good, as advertised
Soft and fits well. Only problem for me is that I often propel my chair with one foot, and the cushion tends to slide forward as I use my foot in that manner. There is nothing on the bottom of the cover similar to my former pad to inhibit such sliding. However, this would be no problem for persons who do not move the chair in the way I do.

3.0 out of 5 stars Duro-Med Polyfoam Wheelchair Cushion, Poly/Cotton Cover, Navy, 4" x 16" x 18" Review
Great idea, but not enough stuffing/foam inside. It goes flat really quick, but will plump back up very easily for daily or long-term use. It's okay, it sure doesn't feel like 4" thick foam that I'm sitting on, but it does help.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wheelchair cushion; did not meet expectations, November 19, 2009

Could be a bit firmer foam something to offer relief but not compress so easily. Being used by someone who is approximately 160 lbs...I don't think this is the best cushion for pressure sore relief....jell cushion might be better. This cushion already is starting to compress and not bounce back to it's original thickness. Better than nothing for now but I am still looking.

4.0 out of 5 stars light weights only, August 5, 2009

This cushion is great for a small person. I weigh 250 lbs and when I tried it out it compressed together. My wife weighs 105 lbs and it is great for her. It was bought for her so it works out okay.

I got this for my 98 year old grandfather who seems to need lots of cushions - has a skinny butt. He likes it very much and uses it most of the time (on the couch, on the padded office chair...). We've had it about a month so I can't speak for longevity. I wish I had gotten one sooner. Very happy with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars my mother discarded it, but the cat loves it, July 18, 2008

This cushion was too thick for my mother. She told me that it made her feel as if she would fall out of the chair. So the cat adopted it as her bed. It is easy to brush shed hair from the removable cover.

4.0 out of 5 stars Consider a color other than dark blue for cushion, September 12, 2009

Consider purchasing two cushions--one for the occupant's sitting position as well as one for the back. Although the dark blue cover of the cushion normally blends in well with the wheelchair, in the dark area of a car's trunk or an airline luggage/storage hole, it can easily be separated from the chair. (It is recommended that the cushions be taken onto the bus/airplane and not be stored with the wheelchair in order not to be lost.)

A bright colored cushion cover will tend to remind one to take care of the cushions.

The Duro-Med wheelchair cushion is very well made; gives good padding and extra height. Really a "must have" for a person who needs to utilize any wheelchair on a regular basis.
