The Duro-Med Therabeads Neck Pain Relief Pack with its adjustable velcro closure is one I am using as I type this review. The velcro straps hold the pack in place while seated upright. After heating it in the microwave for two minutes, I put the cover, such as it is, on the pack and wrapped it around my neck. At first I thought it might be too hot to use but it wasn't. Actually, after putting it in place, I found that it could stand to be a MUCH warmer. I reheated it twice, each time for 30 seconds, but it could have used even more heating. I put it in place. it was warm but within 5 minutes had cooled considerably, to the point of uselessness. I am not a fan of the sectioned pack preferring instead the solid one section type. The longer I've had it on the more picky and annoying the insubstantial cover is becoming and the cooler the pack is.

I MUCH prefer my old microwaveable u-shaped Bucky Hotties Neckwrap over this one because it gives me greater relief for a much longer time period. I will have to order another one. This pack was one of only two options available to me at our local medical supply source. The other was a large rectangular size with no velcro. Knowing there are better heat packs available, I would definitely not purchase this one again. When I need moist heat to help with head and neck pain, I not only want something that works, I NEED something that works well and has heat lasting at least 20-30 minutes. The directions lead you to believe you must wait 2 hours or so, however, I have never had to wait. When it cools off I put it back in the microwave for up to 2 minutes. I have had and used my product for more than 4 years. It is the best for arthritis.

I ordered this and, while I'm a fan of other Therabeads products, I found this poorly designed. Unless you have a very thick neck, the velcro straps are worse than useless. They either get in the way or cling to the fabric cover. The only way I could get it to fit was to cross the straps in front below the neck -- and then it didn't cover the neck well.

If used correctly (and the directions are simple) this product works very well. The reviewer who compares this to the old rice remedy is truly doing a diservice to this product and the thousands of people who can substantially alleviate their pain from it.

Many of my elderly patients experience neck pain and I have never heard anything but raves about this product.

I am disappointed in this product. It is too long, and does not wrap up close around the neck. The velcro straps snag on the white fabric of the wrap. The cover is not microwavable, so you have to remove it and then slide the wrap back inside the cover, keeping the velcro tabs from snagging on the fabric or the cover. If it was shorter in length I could ignore the other minor problems. The pack does provide moist heat that feels great.

This product product provides soothing relief to my chronic aching neck. The moist heat is wonderful, and it fits my neck perfectly(I have a 20" neck). My only complaint is that I wish it stayed warmer longer. It provides me with enough heat for approximately 30 minutes. Don't place it in the microwave too long or the beads will burn through the fabric, and then it is ruined. I know, because that is how I ruined the first one I owned. If you decide to reheat after the initial treatment, don't keep it in the microwave nearly as long as the first time.

Was pleased with product works well and is easy to use. Product a very moist heat that does relieve pain and the design for the neck works well.

I've had a number of these Therabeads neck packs over the years and bought this one because it looked exactly like the ones I have purchased at my local medical supply store but this one was cheaper. This one is too stiff, is thinner and does not lie along my neck like it should. It also does not heat as well as the ones I have had previously. I'll be buying local from now on.

In the past I have had great service with amazon. However, I am not pleased at all with Duro med. When I get it I enjoy using it. But this time the delay is far too long.

My chiropractor gave this to me when my neck was in bad shape. I've been using it several times a week for the past three years. You only need to heat it up for a little less than 2 minutes, and when it cools down just heat it back up. Since I'm small I use it around my lower back as well.

P.s If you workout a lot this product is a MUST. My husband started using it too.
