Product is made to fit a cane with a curved handle only, not a flat handle like the folding cane I ordered. I was able to use a seam ripper to carefully remove part of the finish stitching to enlarge the opening. Once this was done, I could fit it over the bottom tip of the cane and slide it up into place. It remained snug enough for use.
