5.0 out of 5 stars Rough, Sexy, And Dark
From the rough songs of ZZ Top to the sexy sounds of Tito And Tarantula's "After Dark", this soundtrack has the same spirit as the film. "Dark Night" by The Blasters is a great opening for the film and the soundtrack. "Mexican Blackbird" by ZZ Top follows. Along with some blues tunes and an unexpected dialouge from Cheech Marin. 3.0 out of 5 stars An okay CD
I got this CD because I loved Robert Rodriguez's soundtrack for 'Desperado'. I like just about every song on that CD. I got this one because I like the opening title song and the barroom songs. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the rest of the songs, but unfortunately I wasn't. The rest of the songs aren't bad, but they don't knock my socks off either. You...

The two score pieces fill the rest of the space. Great soundtrack for a night in an "off the wall cantina, man".

4.0 out of 5 stars A great mix of western rock, December 31, 2000
By
A Kramer (st. pete, FL) - See all my reviews
I found the movie hilarious and entertaining, and the soundtrack is even better.I am a huge fan of the southwestern rock, and this CD is what I have been looking for. Chet's speech is one of the highlights of the album. There is one fault to the album, and that is the goofy song Texas funeral. It's just too damn weird. Besides that, the album is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Soundtrack, Great Southwest Rocka-Billy!!, April 14, 1999
By A Customer
If you even think you may like Southwestern flavored rock, this is a must have CD. Great songs, great artist, and it really fits the films personality. Who doesn't love SRV and ZZ Top? Not your everyday, run of the mill music, and that's why I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Soundtrack Albums EVER, November 9, 2006
Front to back this soundtrack is dynamite. Watch the volume on Cheech's cut("Chet's Speech"). Might offend everybody within earshot. Tito and Tarantula are awesome and this is one of the few albums available that their music (just two cuts)is on. George Clooney's "Everybody Be Cool" must be played at maximum volume. "Texas Funeral" has become my all time favorite country ballad. I give this 10 out of 5!

5.0 out of 5 stars Raunchy, gritty, knock-your-sox-off Mexican steel guitar bar, December 14, 1998
By A Customer
Grabs your attention with the soulful opening "Dark Night" twang vocals and steel guitar riffs by The Blasters. Drags you thru the bar fights and nights with "Mexican Blackbird" and "Texas Whiskey". Then, when you've said to hell with it all, I'm goin' to Mexico, you really party down with the "Angry Cockroaches" by Tito & the Taruantulas. Interspersed are vocal gags by Cheech Marin (not for Womens' Libbers or children under 18). The catchy remake of "Mary had a Little Lamb" will have you disinvited to the PTA if the Teacher hears you singing it! The guitars alone are worth the price, even if it would be better without Cheech's vulgarity

5.0 out of 5 stars Brillance is defined as From Dusk Till Dawn the soundtrack, November 10, 1998

I love it! It was amazing to see a soundtrack live up to it's movie. This is a must for any serious collector. The music adds a real atmosphere to any room you play it in, and the continual quality is stunning.

I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the rest of the songs, but unfortunately I wasn't. The rest of the songs aren't bad, but they don't knock my socks off either. You also get Chet's speech, which is hilarious. The hidden track is the second part of his speech and should have been tagged on to the first part, which I find a bit annoying. Also, the barroom songs didn't seem as bright or peppy as they did in the DVD when I first heard them. This was disappointing. They sounded more studio produced then live. None-the-less, if you really liked certain songs from the movie and have to have them, I'd get this CD otherwise I might skip it.

The cd has all the music from the movie, plus a couple of choice clips of dialog. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the movie and/or the music. It was well worth the really reasonable purchase price.

I love everything on this soundtrack "Dusk till Dawn" where you will find some tremendous mood type Blues music. Also the monologues are entertaining.
While watching the movie, I really felt like the songs added to the atmosphere of the film. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There are a couple of country tunes too and they are not bad. A biting soundtrack... one of the best.
