Disappointing recording,

I was looking forward, based on commentary on this album that I'd read elsewhere, to hearing a master at the top of his game, someone who "was THE living master of old-style strathspey playing. It's truly inspiring to hear someone in his mid-80s playing so strongly." Instead, I was astounded to find the recording almost unbearable to listen to. Much of the playing is frankly out of tune. I can't understand how it got released.
