I have no idea why this game dont have a single Rating, So i shall help people who are unsure about getting it.

Lets start off on the Gameplay- Its like your Average over-the-hill HacknSlash game, Easy to play, No overly complex combos, rememberable controls so if you leave for a bit and comeback it comes right back to you like reading.

Upnext i think is the Graphics- Amazing, Beautiful, Just absolutely Stunning. These graphics are just perfect, They are clearly on a more than a professional level.

The Story- You will not regret it if you buy the game for the story, Its got memorable characters, a Strong story feeling, As if you are THERE almost, the emotional level of the story is the Strongest ive seen. From MAKING me cry to making me laugh the game is a must for any gamers out there who want a game with the best story.

Those are the pros the only Con of the game is that it can be short, or not much replayable. but its still one of my Fav. games on steam and Xbox.

This game IS AMAZING. Let's analyze this masterpiece.

Graphics- Amazing. Its like looking at a Painting hanging in a museum.
Story- Very Well-Crafted, it keeps you in suspense.
Gameplay- similiar to Kingdom Hearts, just that you dont add on combos to your main attack.
Time- You should get AT THE LEAST 11 hours into this.
Final Thoughts- If you dont have this game: GET IT, if you dont have a Steam account: GET ONE. This game is a must play!

Dust: An Elysian Tail is probably one of the best games of this genre I have ever played. The storyline is amazing with both sad and funny moments, along with a couple 4th wall breaks too. The gameplay is astounding, the combos are extremely cool and easy to learn. and the enemies will at least give you a bit of a challenge on normal, unlike most games where normal feels too easy. Then there's the graphics..... what else is there to say about the graphics? I could just sit there and stare at the scenery of the game all day.
I give this amazing 2D hack & slash game that's so much more than that, a 4,000 out of 10.

It's been a long time since I got to jump into a good platformer... and this one fills all my cravings.

The good and great
-Music
-Voice Acting
-Art Style
-Gameplay, very Metroid or Vania inspired.
-Story is great for the length.

The bad
-You'll be left wanting even more

I chose the rating because I've played the game elsewhere. Sadly, my laptop is so ancient with its graphics card that it can not play the game. I bought it while it was on special so that I could re-download it to some new thing some day and be able to play it again on my own computer.

I bought and played this on Xbox Live and can definitely say this was one of the best indie releases I have played. The visual style is stunning, the RPG elements are cool, the combat was awesome, and the story was engaging. The furry thing was a bit bizarre to me, but since all the characters were basically furry, it wasnt a big deal, lol. Really though, if you want an amazing 2D style scroller with amazing 3D backdrops, stellar combat, vivid artwork, and a cool story, you really need look no further. Super impressed by this game.

Fun game. I was sad the game was short (just over 10 hours), but it was so cheap I didn't care too much.

It's the typical game with a skill tree, items you put on the character, etc..

Puzzles are trivial, likely it's written for pre-teens

The hours played per game price is not as good as diablo II, mostly because I'll likely not play it again

Although the designs may seem friendly, the game's plot is completely serious, with an epic and sad story that a sublime way.
It has a great playability and it can be a real challenge if you increase the difficulty. The length is perfect to keep you entertained for a few days without becoming heavy and repetitive.
100% recommended.

Side Scrolling beat em ups haven't made much of a splash in the modern VG world. Getting this as a freebie on PSN, I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more press.

You awaken in a field with a talking sword, and a flying squirrel as the keeper of the sword telling you your destiny is to save the world from a genocidal general.

The story is soft and gentle with some dark undertones, but its delivery with some clichéd but still entertaining jokes in a cel-shaded anime style is enjoyable and worth seeing through to the end. Voices and audio are decent and entertaining, and the enemies are varied enough and well drawn enough to be nice to look at. Environments are also good for its repetition, and it manages to flow like a believable world.

The gameplay is entertaining and makes you work for your supper but once you have a decent formula down you can hand most enemies their booty in a sack, at least until you clear the region to a higher-level area or encounter a new type that always seems to have a personal attack that nullifies your normal strategy. The RPG elements are well used in that they can make you suddenly into superman with a newly crafted weapon buff but without them your not reduced to crawling along every fight.

Overall, a decently written if rather depressing story, a well worked out gameplay mechanic and a world that is enjoyable to watch and listen to makes this a real buy especially with a low price tag like it currently has. While the side scroller universe doesn't make many decent additions, this is a good one.

This game is among some of the best I have ever played in terms of RPGs. Initially, it did not seem like it would be more than the average indie side scroller, but once you immerse yourself as Dust and go through each level with enough quests to keep you occupied and treasure to find, you are hooked.

There are skills that you earn progressively throughout the game that give you an excuse to fully explore every region on the map, including old zones you originally could not access. In terms of aesthetics, the artwork is gorgeous, and the voice acting provides dynamic emotions that left me speechless in some cases.

My only gripe would be the market system in the game. There is no real incentive to make blueprint items unless they are of absolute necessity, and some times, it leaves my backpack cluttered with useless blueprints. This is something I have grown to overlook, but may bother some players.

This is a gem from a small studio and is very much worth the inexpensive price to try.
