Book Description

The prince of Locke Cress has waited for the forest nymph with lavender eyes to come to him. His dreams said it was just a matter of time. He didn’t count on losing his heart to the strange woman from another world.

After the serial killer attacks Kira, she wakes in a strange land. Running for her life from wild boars, wizards, and sorcerers, can she trust a Prince that pitches her libido into overdrive? As evil plots unfold, Kira fights for her life. And for a love that transcends time and distance.
* * *
A white shirt, overlaid with a leather vest, covered the man's torso. The pants were also leather and clung to his muscular legs like second skin. She licked her dry lips. The scent of something wild and primal drifted across the room—his clothing or him, she didn't know which. Perfect eyebrows rose above the mosaic blue eyes. His features were chiseled, his mouth a tad too generous, but only a smidgen. His magnificent body lacked the teensiest ounce of fat. Images of the dream warrior flooded her muddled thoughts. God's pure vision of man. It couldn't be…wasn't possible.

Her knees knocked, whether from his presence or the thought of killing him, she didn't know. For a moment indecision reigned, and damn if he didn't pick up on it. His confident gaze turned predatory as he advanced. With every step he took, some unnamed organ between her thighs ached and hot juices came in a flood between her legs. And only after one look at that sculpted face.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dust and Moonlight August 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I want to say that this book blew my mind. I have been waiting for a long time to read one of Keta's books, and I picked this one for the fantasy factor. I wasn't wowed, but something about this story just pulled me in and I found myself really liking it. I had to give it four stars for the sheer fact that little parts of it made me cry, and the sex scenes made me giggle, blush, and want more. It mentally made me beg for more as I was curled up in my bed reading it till I just couldn't and had to get some sleep to wake up to take my child to a party in the morning.

There really wasn't a lead character that I didn't like. Kira reminded me of a watered down version of Kay Scarpetta that was sucked into a world of fantasy. She was dead set on maintaining her reality, but even rational thought knew that there was no way that she was dreaming. For one Balion is way to hunky and Alpha male to be dreamed up. I swear if that man was stalking towards me with lust in his eyes I would probably do some swooning, then I would get up and slap him (Because that's what half vulnerable heroines do), and then I would strip naked and say `Take me rough and hard!' Why? Because Balion is that damned hot! Even the supporting cast had me wanting so much more from them. They sort of got a half wrapped up HEA so you knew that the book was a stand alone, which sort of disappoints you as far as the story wrap up goes.

For me the story didn't flow. I had a hard time at the very beginning before she was transported to Locke Cress getting into the flow of the book. It seemed very choppy at times and rushed. Like Keta was trying to just get to the fantasy world and be damned with the buildup. A few points in the story I thought had some broken up bits were again there was a rush factor to them.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Penny Ash Review April 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Kira Barton swears an oath to the dead girls she will find their killer. What she doesn't know is that, in her pursuit, she will be hurled into the distant past. Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, knows the forest nymph with lavender eyes will come to him because he has dreamed of her every night...
This book has an interesting story line. With the mix of modern eras, time travel and magic it has a little something for everyone. The only problem I had was with some of the profiling and forensics in the book, but them I'm really picky on my crime fiction, and this is a romance.
I give this one a solid 4 Djinn
