Great!,

Pete Nice was a genius rapper. Wish he was still doing it. This album is terrific all the way through. The Pimp Minister's timing unbelievable, his cadence that is, and his lyrics are always hysterically funny.

This album is straight quality from beginning to end. I agree with the guy who said he likes this better than both 3rd Bass albums - it's a step forward from those. Beatnuts put down some of their early raw beats (check out "Rat Bastard" for one of the grimiest opening tracks to any hip hop album), and elsewhere The duo and occasional guest producers like Sam Sever and KMD contribute production. Lumberjack Song is ridiculously catchy, and Out Of My Way features the same piano loop as Main Source's "How My Man Went Down" but I think the version here is iller...all the tracks roll along like only that 92-96 era hip hop does.
My only reservation is that the Remix of Verbal Massage is almost identical to the original. They should have stuck the Beatnuts remix of Kick The Bobo" on instead because it is one of the best remixes I have ever heard.... Overall "Dust To Dust" definitely a classic of its time. 5 Stars.

There's alot of good beats, rhymes and cuts here.
Cage has an uncredited appearance on"Rich Bring 'Em Back" and he had the same morbid style as he has now,Psycho Les of Beatnuts has a guest verse on "Rat Bastard" which is an awesome song. The album is produced by The Beatnuts,Pete Nice,And KMD and has an array of thick hardcore beats. The single "Kick The Bobo" definately kicks alot of things. "The Lumberjack" is a dope tribute to DJ Daddy Rich with some great scratches,in fact, this whole album is filled with good scratches and Daddy Rich makes his presence felt. Pete Nice is easily one of the most effortless rappers tha ever released an album. I prefer this not only to MC Serch's solo album, but also to both 3rd Bass LPS. No gas face for Prime Minister Pete Nice and Daddy Rich.

For real Hip Hop fans only,

If you like Nelly and cash money then you wont like this. This is pure street hop from a time lost. When rap was hip hop and not a seperate entity.Pete Nice and Daddy Rich join the Beatnuts to create a highly underated, hardcore mini-masterpiece.Along with MC Serch, these two created two classic albums as 3rd bass, and returned to show another side.Sadly it didnt sell the way it should of.But if your truly a hip hop fan and not obsessed with bling and sluggish down south rhyming then you'll enjoy this.

OH BOY...........LET ME SEE.....................................,
This review is from: Dust to Dust (Audio CD)
okay, now for me it was the beats. the lyrics............well...........he was better when he was with 3rd bass. all in all this album is alright. it is not a classic, but i enjoyed it for the nostalgia. i will say this about it, it is nice and raw like i like it. the bad thing about it is that it wanes near the end. to me, daddy rich makes this album along with the beatnuts' production.

I like the album a little better now but it still seems like he doesn't bring like he does on Wordz of Wisdom. The beatnuts sound pretty good. i just wish it was more fire, If you like the early Beanut sound and Pete Nice then you will have no problem with this album. Get it before the price goes up more..it was 35 cents on my first review

What the (blank) happened to Pete Nice? I had always wondered what happened to the Prime Minister after 3rd Bass imploded. I knew Serch put out a CD but I never even knew Pete did until recently. Sadly.... now I know why! I could barely even listen to this CD and haven't touched it since. If you wore out your 3rd Bass tapes back in the day and want to hear Prime Minister in action again... Just get the 3rd Bass CD's and forget this crap! Oh don't believe me?? Check out how much it's selling for.
