In this western short story, fifteen years after the Civil War, Matt Taylor comes through Tucson as part of his travels. He stops at the local Cafe, meets a woman he instantly falls in love with, only for her father, a former Confederate Colonel to order him to leave town. Matt doesn't, the Colonel tries to bribe some Bandidos to force Matt to leave, but instead, his daughter is kidnapped. So, Matt and the Colonel have to lay aside their differences to rescue her. Cliff Ball lives in Texas, born in Arizona, is a Christian and is Baptist. Has two BA's, and a Certificate in Technical Communications. Has published ten novels and two short stories. Won third in high school for a short story written in Creative Writing class for a young adult magazine. Cliff writes fast paced novels because that's what he wants to read and his sci-fi novels would be considered in the lite category. His novels are clean reads: no sex, cussing, very little violence, and can be read by anyone above 13.
