The Dustless HEPA WET/Dry Vacuum gives contractors a cost-efficient way to control dust at the job site and comply with EPA Lead-Safe regulations. Not only does it have a low initial cost, but also enables users to save money down the road. Using a Micro Pre-filter greatly extends the life of the certified HEPA filter by capturing virtually everything but the smallest particles, down to .5 microns. This cost-saving system is only available through Dustless Technologies.

Tested by Handyman Club of America, the 16003 Wet/Dry Vacuum received a 100% approval rating.
Meet EPA Lead-Safe Guidelines
The Dustless HEPA Wet/Dry Vacuum employs a certified HEPA filter to meet EPA RRP lead-safe guidelines. It is certified to IEST-RP-CC001.5 insuring a minimum filtration efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 micron. Be safe - go Dustless.

Switch from Wet to Dry Operation Without Stopping
Unlike other HEPA vacuums, the Dustless HEPA Wet/Dry Vacuum can be used to vacuum up water without fear of getting your valuable HEPA filter wet. A baffle wall inside the canister keeps water from reaching the HEPA filter, under normal operation. Go back and forth between wet and dry operation without stopping to change filters or make other adjustments.

Quiet and Powerful
The Dustless HEPA Wet/Dry Vacuum emits only 81 decibels of noise and has a powerful motor that runs at 24,140 RPMs that produces 76.9-inch water lift at 126-CFM. The 16 gallon canister and micro pre-filter bag support optimum air flow while holding up to 40 pounds of dirt and debris. Other vacuums lose suction after ingesting just several pounds of dust.

100% Recommended by Handyman Club of America
Tested by Handyman Club of America, the Dustless Technologies 16006 Wet/Dry Vacuum received a 100% approval rating. After using the 16006 in their homes, shops, and jobsites, 13 testers gave the wet/dry vac an overall member rating of 9.3. Performance scored a 10, and rating against similar products was an 8.1.

There are also clips for the motor part.

Also, there isn't a secondary layer when removing the pre-filter bag from the machine, so you might be getting some dust or debris floating around when discarding.

The vacuum cleaner performs well, has great suction and volume, and was reasonably priced for a HEPA vac.

I purchased this machine based on the specs. Supposedly it is dustless. I used it for vacuuming drywall/mud sanding. I actually had the machine outside of the room so that the exhaust won't disturb the drywall all over the place. I looked outside to see that the machine was coated with a light layer of drywall that I sucked up. The filter was on securely by the manufacturer. I also used the pre-filter bag to help the life of the filter. You can see the drywall dust came from the exhausting ports of the machine. The machine is made with durable plastic. The attachments could have gaskets or something to help seal and secure the vacuum. I'd say this is one of the most powerful vacuums I have used, but it is also 2x the amount. It's light weight and moves easily. I was just disappointed that the dustless claim was not real. Also, there isn't a secondary layer when removing the pre-filter bag from the machine, so you might be getting some dust or debris floating around when discarding. The attachments don't secure firmly to the tool holders. Sometimes the tools would fall off when moving the vacuum around. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

DUSTLESS: This vacuum uses sub-micron filter bags. Because of this if you suck up sharp objects like nails with the vacuum you can puncture the bag on occasion. If you do so, you will see some dust. If you clean the vacuum out and try again with a new bag you will not see dust. If you see dust check for a hole in the bag. No vacuum is dustless but this one goes a long long ways towards that goal down to the sub-micron level. I like the vacuum and use it lot.

STRENGTHS: It is worth watching the videos so you can understand the strengths of the vacuum. This unit can suck up things like concrete dust then water with no problem. Very little dust gets out if any when you empty the drum and that alone is a big help. If the vac tips over in use the HEPA filter is very unlikely to get wet. There is a HEPA filter, filter cover and filter bag all of which are sub micron. The suction is strong considering the level of filtration. The vac holds a lot and the bags are reasonably priced for what the do. These are not simple paper bags of old and they are near the size of coffee sack (large). The hose is high quality and the attachments work well. If you really compare all the strengths this vac can not be beat - at least we could not find one that was better.

FITTINGS: Some of the fittings can fall off but if you have used this kind of stuff you know that some fitting on vacuums can also get stuck on and for me personally I rather they fall off occasionally. They are friction fittings so they are as tight as you cram them on, so you can make them tighter if you want to.

This unit is great for abatement or many other uses. You really do not need to be breathing dust and lead and asbestos are only the tip of the iceberg so to speak.

I bought the Dustless Technologies for some renovations that I am doing that requires me to deal with lead paint dust. The Hepa filter captures dust particles down to a minimum filtration efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 micron. It was worth it for me to spend the money to have an epa certified vacuum. In the last couple of years it has become law that you have to disclose anything that you know about lead in your house, to prospective buyers or renters. I am using this product and others as well in my documentation of our lead removal and encapsulation project. It is worth it to buy this vacuum to help remove lead dust from your home and to reassure new buyers and renters that you took care of the problem in the most efficient way.

The vacuum works great! With the Dustless pre filter bag I couldn't even see any dust in the container after filling up half the bag. When dealing with wet or sticky paint the inside of the hose will tend to get coated with the gunk. The hose is super maneuverable and flexible but does need to be cleaned well when dealing with sticky paint chips or dust.

You might think that you can get away with using a regular shop vac, but they are not designed to capture particles as small as lead particles and they get blown out the back of the Vac and into the air where they are very dangerous. Always make sure that you are wetting the surface when dealing with lead paint removal. Gel chemical strippers work well to keep the dust down, if you sand; wet sand. Use a resperator and keep that dust out of the air.

I purchased this vac for my business to do cleanup for RRP lead renovation projects. The vacuum cleaner performs well, has great suction and volume, and was reasonably priced for a HEPA vac. Delivery was on time.

This item was purchased for my remediation business. Although its relatively light and powerful with good capacity, it has leakage problems.
There is no baffle at the hose port to stop 'puff-backs' while transporting. I normally cover the hole with tape when moving it. I wrote the manufacturer regarding this and asked for assistance, but did not hear back from them. Nothing.
Because is requires a heavy amp load (11.5 amps), you risk circuit overload when using this in association with an air scrubber and/or other equipment.
The drain leaks air and typically has dust residue around it from leaking. It's good at holding water, but air moves through it.
Overall, it's a glorified shop vac. For light use its great. For lead and microbial use - keep looking.
