Reach into Tight Places and Sand in Corners
The Dustless Turbo Drywall Sander boasts a rectangular sanding head that allows users to sand in corners--something large professional sanders with round heads can't do. The orbital sanding head is also smaller than commercial units, making it perfect for kitchen and bathroom work where space is tight.
For even greater versatility, the pole of the Turbo Drywall Sander extends to a length of six feet so you can reach high walls and ceilings without getting onto a ladder or using scaffolding.
Lighter is Better
Weighing less than five pounds, the Dustless Turbo Drywall Sander is much lighter than professional units, which typically weigh around eight pounds. The simple design of the orbital sanding head eliminates the need for an electric motor mounted on the pole, which greatly reduces the system's weight.
Capture 99% of Airborne Dust
The Dustless Turbo Drywall Sander pulls air through channels on all four sides of the sanding head to capture 99% of drywall dust at its point of origin, so you get a cleaner, safer work environment.
Designed for Use with Dustless Wet/Dry Vacuums
While you can use this sander with traditional shop vacuums, you will get optimum results when using it with a Dustless Wet/Dry Vacuum. First, Dustless Wet/Dry Vacuums produce higher air flow rates after the canister has collected a significant amount dust than conventional shop vacuums produce.
Second, the Dustless Wet Dry Vacuum is specially designed to capture the extremely fine dust produced from drywall sanding. Some conventional shop vacuums can be retrofitted with a baffle to capture this finer dust, but baffles restrict airflow, reducing the overall effectiveness of the equipment.
What's in the Box
Air turbine powered orbital sanding head, 85-inch metal adjustable extension pole, aluminum oxide sandpaper (four grits: 80, 100, 150, 180 and 220), bearing oil, hose adapter for 1-1/2-inch hose, hand sander adapter, static dispersing wire (for hand sander), and owner's manual.

Love-Less "Turbo" drywall sander,
By John Rukstales (S/E Wi ,United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dustless Technologies 50001 Turbo Drywall Sander with 7-Foot Extendable Pole (Tools & Home Improvement)
For those of you remodling/drywall contractors hoping for a god-send.... this is NOT it.The catalog description was a little mis-leading; I had thought this was a lighter, less expensive verson of Porter-Cables, electric, disc-sander. It is powered strictly by the suction of your shop-vac,(hence the "Turbo" designation), operating instructions say to use their(Love-less),co's "Dry-wall" vaccum;(what did you expect?)I have a Milwaukee shop vac- (their most powerfull model) so I'm sure it has sufficient suction, upon hooking it up, and turning on the vaccum, the sanding head did vibrate well. You can't "lean-on" it to make it sand faster, it will bog down,(the instructions tell you this as well),so it's not a fast as conventional hand sanding.BUT it is nearly DUST-FREE!;(as long as your shop vac has proper filtration for this fine dust). You also have to oil it(according to instructions) at LEAST every 1/2 HR.-through a very fine hole, with included special oil,(the bottle has NO Spout to fit either), which I did, but some-time after about 2 hrs of use, the unit quit, and would not work further. It would be GREAT for small patches/repairs, if it would work. It's light, easy to handle, and learn,(unlike Porter Cable's), and virtually Dust-Free, which I was looking for. I think the problem lies in drawing the dusty air through the "Turbo-unit",this has to create clogging problems. Dont give up, Love-Less Co! Your on the right track; make it reliable, more powerful,(maybe elect. over vaccum?),include an oil bottle that FITS the oil hole, and hell, I'd pay twice the price!I've been a remodeling G/C for over 20 yrs.... The industry NEEDS this !

Company won't stand behind its own product,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dustless Technologies 50001 Turbo Drywall Sander with 7-Foot Extendable Pole (Tools & Home Improvement)
We bought it after seeing it at the NAHB show in Atlanta. After using it only five minutes we decided it wasn't worth the money and wanted to return it. The company sent us back a form letter stating SATISFACTION NOT GUARANTEED.I am concerned whenever a company is not willing to stand behind its own product.

Very weak - but it is dustless. In fact, mine sits in my basement and creates no dust. I found this unit worthless for drywall finishing in a new installation or a large remodel (also Amazon didnt have the coarser grit papers I needed). I think this unit may be useful for very small repairs where dust is not acceptable however, I found a manual sander for $19.95 with a "dustless" system that uses a bucket of water to trap the dust before it enters a regular shop vac. I find this $20 system (without the bucket of water)works much better than the "turbo sander". I do connect the manual dustless sander to the loveless vacuume and unless you get very aggressive with sanding on a wall, it collects all of the dust produced.. The loveless vacuume is great - it is quiet, powerful, and doesnt loose suction even after hours of sanding and cleanup.
