Not the best Dusty bio,
By PJChgo (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dusty Springfield: A Life in Music (Hardcover)
Leeson's book is factually correct, but it covers ground that was covered earlier, and in a far more compelling fashion, in the Lucy O'Brien book "Dusty" and the "Dancing with Demons" biography. Leeson tries to capture Dusty as a subject from a more academic approach, but much of what he writes comes off as speculative at best and arrogant at worst. Often, Leeson interjects personal opinion about the industry that is completely unobjective.
