With 16 tapes and some reading lessons, this is a very good primer to conversational Dutch. I've found that after going through the tapes, I then listen on my computer and bring up Google Translate to see how phrases are spelled out - which is better than just the book itself. I'll update my review after my trip to the Netherlands this spring. I only wish they had some...

I have been enjoying the CD's but when I got to Lesson 11, it referred to a booklet. There was no booklet with the CDs. So, I called the 800 number on the box and requested that they send it to me. I received it about a week later. Unfortunately, the booklet doesn't match the CD. I am not pleased that I had to request the booklet in the first place. I am seriously...

With 16 tapes and some reading lessons, this is a very good primer to conversational Dutch. I've found that after going through the tapes, I then listen on my computer and bring up Google Translate to see how phrases are spelled out - which is better than just the book itself. I'll update my review after my trip to the Netherlands this spring. I only wish they had some useful phrases regarding hotel reservations and ordering at a restaurant.
