I purchased this book as a gift for a friend. I am Dutch and I figured it would make a nice gift coming from a Dutch girl. The book is beautifully illustrated (which I love in cook books) and has typical Dutch recipes. Love it!!!

Very good cookbook. Very intresting facts and traditional recipies. At least the most importend ones. It was a great gift for a friend of mine.

It's true that this cookbook has lovely photos. However, I have found the recipes to be hit or miss. There seem to be a number of oversights sprinkled throughout the recipes book (i.e., mentioning the need for a certain ingredient but neglecting to include the quantity required) . I consider myself to be a capable cook (and am certainly able to follow a recipe!) but this cookbook has some poor directions and, as I mentioned earlier, outright errors. I would steer clear of this book. Sorry, Janny.
