Their individual Peace/ Piece..............................., March 29, 2005
The main focus is on Angel Alvarez. This ill-famed Chica who is one of Dutch's most trusted lieutenants. As we parted in Dutch Angel was looking at serving a life sentence. GUESS WHO'S BACK? ANGEL "THE BADDEST BEYOTCH" Now it's time to get to get retarded in here! After three long years of wondering she uses all of the wisdom from years past to set herself into her rightful position...ON TOP OF THE WORLD! BUT it's always a mountain to get to the buried treasure. What's a girl gotta do to ascend into the game? Use what she's been blessed with! That's right men are all so sick and stuck on what they got, but the true power is buried deep between two legs and real Chica's use what they got to get what they want! Now that's GANGSTRESS! They weren't prepared for the game Angel prepared! With major people falling to her surmise it's still got to be someone who opposes what she's for.
One-eyed Roc because he's a co-conspirator he's also about to breath again. BUT is the newly reformed Brother Rahman ready for what awaits him or will One-eyed Roc make a guest appearance? In prison One-eyed Roc turned his life over to Allah, and now he's all new. So new that he scares himself! Deep inside The Muslim tussles with that once infamous killer. All praise due to Allah. Now that Brother Rahman is fighting to represent the war that has plagued the community. How much opposition will he meet? In the past One-eyed Roc willingly bust his guns in order to infect the city of Newark, but now Rahman is in the same war against the same people he put in the game. Can Rahman win the war he started?
Poor Nina is loosing her freaking mind. I mean he's dead isn't he? Is he alive? I could've sworn... it's a bad case of what ifs as she struggles to involve herself with a decent black man who is employed and importantly alive! But is that enough? TOO bad her heart is taken. Can there be a man for her or is she meant to be lost in love with a ghost?
The book is filled with memories of Dutch and his legacy. Not to mention it has been two years so you needed to be able to recall what you might have forgotten.
PERSONALLY I feel as though Dutch II lacks the POWER of how Dutch began. I won't front it's filled with plenty of DRAMA!
It does seem to teach you a lot about Muslims. It would've been nice had there been somewhere in the book that she put the Muslim and Spanish words with their meanings. It isn't always a given.
Now my questions...
Is it going to take another 2 years to get part 3 on the shelves?
Will we FINALLY learn why he's hailed as Dutch?

Friend or Foe, September 13, 2008
The streets of Newark is mourning the death of Dutch. A few are stepping up to the plate to take over what was left behind.
Angel and Roc two of Dutch's lieutenants were caught and sent to prison, after a three year bid they both were released on a technicality. Both are back in the streets, Angel along with her lover Goldilocks are trying to uphold the legacy of Dutch, but there is more to Goldilocks than she is letting on. Roc is on the other hand, has become a changed man and is a follower of Allah. Going by the name Rahman, he is trying to clean up the streets to make them safer for the Newark community. Both Angel and Rahman are not down for the same cause anymore and are very determined to stand up for what they believe in. Eventually they will face off, will the Dutch camp be destroyed forever? Who will be the last man or woman standing?
Nina has gone on with her life after the death of Dutch. She dives into her career to fill the void that Dutch has left on her heart. She has met a new beau name Dwight, who is a blue collar worker and worships the ground she walks on. She likes Dwight a lot but still has the feelings of what could've, should've, would've if she'd giving Dutch a chance. All of a sudden mysterious things starts to happen, making her go through a thang and even asking her self and even Dutch mother Delores Murphy is he DEAD or ALIVE?
Kwame Teague did it again with the pen. Very good writer indeed. The only thing I had a problem with is the clarity of the Muslim words and Spanish words that was used throughout the book. I did learn a little bit about the Muslim religion, which is a good thing. Keep blessing your fans with these dynamite books. Can't wait to read part III.

Great Follow Up, March 8, 2005
THE DRAGON CHAIN IS BACK!!!!!! The much anticipated Dutch II: Angel's Revenge was well worth the wait. The sequel was as action packed as Part I. Not to give too much of the book away...Angel and One eyed Roc (now Rahman) are released from jail on a judicial technicality (or so they think). Upon their release they both re-enter society with different agendas (one's a vigilante and the other wants to pick up where they ended)....which leads their paths to cross in a deadly way. The author did an excellent job bringing many familiar characters back to memory (since part I came out 1 year ago) such as Young World, Roll, Nina, and Craze and introducing a new major (and I do mean major) character Goldilocks. The surprising cliffhanger ending now has me eagerly awaiting the last segment of this trilogy (I hope I don't have to wait another year). I cried with Nina, laughed (at times) with Angel, and admired Rahman's (One eyed Roc) strength and courage. Although this is a great book, I was disappointed at the amount of typos and that Dutch, himself, was scarcely mentioned throughout, but I guess that's why its title is Dutch II: Angel's Revenge. If you enjoyed Part I, you'll love Part II, and together we'll all await Part III.
