Unequivocally the best cookbook on dutch ovens on the market today. The Stachiw duo have captured lightning in a bottle and converted it to paperback form. The pictures are informative, the tone conversational. After reading this, I wanted to pay more than the asking price. It's an absolute bargain.

I can see how this book has catapulted the Stachiws to national scouting stardom.

This cookbook has ruined "indoor" and "stove top" food for me. It's that damn good.

If this is how the Dutch actually cook, I'm moving to Holland.

Do yourself a favor and follow in the footsteps of Bear Grylls, Steven Hawking, and Bobby Flay by buying this book.

I just wanted recipes, and a description of how to make it happen. I didnt really want the history lesson. But it is useful.

The authors, well-known personalities in the scouting world, have done a great job bringing together food science and practical outdoor recipes. Recommended to everyone who enjoys being on a hike and cooking good food.
