Lots of information for the beginner. You learn how many coals to put where, for the regular oven temp equivalent. Lots of other information such as conversion charts and subitutions. Some poems and stories as well. I really enjoy this book. It will be a great asset while we are camping. No more "not so great meals" while we are ruffing it in the wild. I highly recommend this great little book, especially to the beginner dutch oven cook.

This is a good beginners outdoor cookbook...it gives details on every aspect of cooking with a dutch oven...very helpful.
