I purchased this product as a gift for my daughter. I purchased the "clean version". I enjoy Fergie and her music but would prefer the foul language were left out, so the clean version is a perfect choice. Her music is classic Fergie, she sings from the heart and keeps it upbeat. She is a young lady who has been through much and it comes out in her songs. Well worth the buy in my opinion.

Girls across the country of all ages sing her songs in the mirror, in the shower, or in the car. They all want her beauty, success, and fame. This girl is Fergie. Fergie finally answered our prayers when she came out with The Dutchess, a musical treat to all girls.
Fergie rose to her fame when she joined the group, the "Black Eyed Peas," who with her made the hit "My Humps." This is her debut solo album, a dream of Fergie's since she was a little girl. Out of thirteen songs on the album, four are major hits. "London Bridge," "Fergalicious," "Glamorous" and my personal favorite, "Big Girls Don't Cry," can be heard around the country on tons of radio stations. Fergie wrote all of the songs, some with the help of other people, like Will Adams or better known as Wiil.i. am. Fergie is clearly gifted when it comes to writing and singing hip-hop, but she does have a few slow songs on the c.d. I have to say, Fergie shows more talent on this album that she does on any "Black Eyed Peas" album. The positive role model has good music that any girl at any age can listen to. A long time fan or first time listeners can enjoy the many different types of music on The Dutchess.
The Dutchess is an amazing album. Fergie really shows off her talent for singing. Her debut solo album is perfect if you need to get pumped up, calmed down, or you just want to listen to some good music.

This album killed the Pop and Hot 100 Billboard charts, but what did you expect? I think the production on this great, and her lyrics are out of the norm. My favorite track on the entire album is "London Bridge". She totally does the unexpected, her lyrics being the opposite of what you would typically expect from a 'pop' artist. I recommend this album to all Black Eyed Peas fans; however if you don't like that group, you most likely won't like this album.

Fergie is very talented and while the songs that a hit are great the ones that are not leave a lot to be desired. She has so much more potential than what she is doing. These hip hop getto songs are limiting her talent, she needs to break away from that style and realy show us what she's got!

Whenever I bought the "Clean" version of Fergie's album, "The Dutchess" I was soulfully disappointed how it would turn out. Her songs: Fergalicious, London Bridge, Pedestal, Voodoo Doll, Glamorous, and Mary Jane Shoes that were edited, made the songs sound weird and a unsteady rhythm that was included. It was for the kids, I know. Although whenever this happened it sold more somehow? But for my opinion, if you're a person over the age of 15 years old or older and your parents allow you to hear curse words, then you should buy the Explicit version, otherwise if your parents insist on you buying a 'appropriate' album that's edited, this album is recommended. Anyways, I'm just here to announce the difference between the "Clean version" to the "Explicit version".

I got this because I loved all the songs she released off it. Unfortunately, those were the only good songs on the album. It was a great disappointment. Sometimes it the beat that's disappointing other times its the ridiculous lyrics. I don't recommend the whole album. Just get the songs you know you like.

This is a great CD. It's nice to have a CD that I enjoy and that is playable while the kids are around. The cleaner versions are great--it doesn't take away anything from the original album.

lighten up haters!!! this cd is fun and upbeat. stop being so negative. try it on the treadmill. fergie is divalicious. she should make mariah want to retire!

I gave this as a x-mas gift for my daughter and she has almost wore out this cd. I stole it from her long enough to put it on my ipod. Definitely a cd worth buying. Alot of great songs. It's nice to be able to buy the different versions(clean/explicit) also when you have kids.
