I have been a law enforcement professional for nearly 10 years and this novel is full of stories that could have only been written by a cop. The story follows a young deputy through out his career and into the stresses of the job. Many pages in this book had me laughing (out loud) and shaking my head when I recalled similar incidents. I would recommend this novel to cops who love reading about cops and to family members of cops. DUTY! A Cop's Story exposes who cops really are...they're human.

This book had me shaking my head with all the true to life coincidences and stories. DUTY! is a must read for cops who love reading about cops. I would also recommend this story to wives and family members of cops. Reading this novel will make you laugh (out loud), cry and think. As law enforcement professional for nearly 10 years, I can relate to just about every page written by Alan Burton. DUTY, HONOR and INTEGRITY is what all good cops are made of. "DUTY! A Cop's Story" exposes cops to who they really are, HUMAN.
