A Good Read,
By Karen Lee "NY nannie" (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Duty and Honor: A Novel of the Civil War (Paperback)
Romance embedded in history - Duty and Honor by Michael J Deeb is definitely a "good read." The Civil War background is accurately portrayed, and gives just the right setting for the events and mishaps of young Michael. His character development is handled with some interesting twists, and the final chapters leave you wanting more. I hope there will be a sequel. I want to know what happens with Julia!

Love this trilogy,
This review is from: Duty And Honor: A Novel Of The Civil War (Hardcover)
Great historical fiction about the civil war era. A lot of historical fact interwoven with a compeling story of rural farm families during mid 1850's. I highly recommend this for pleasurable reading and easy learning about the era.

Civil War Novel at its best,
This review is from: Duty and Honor: A Novel of the Civil War (Paperback)
An engrossing novel of a young boys trials, tribulations and achievements as he works his way through the Civil War years of the summer of 1862 to General Lee's surrender. The reader will be engaged as young Drieborg maneuvers through legal encounters and warring conflicts. An enjoyable read for all those that enjoy a good story.
