This is the voice you want to sing to you after a long romantic dinner, the voice that wakes you in the morning. Dwayne's songs are thoughtfully delivered -- a smooth comfort in a world too often filled with pop-tarts. If you truly like to listen to the character of a good voice and you enjoy hearing a singer who understands the emotions of each line, you'll really enjoy this album. True musicians and loves of music will love this one.

This is the sort of CD you listen to when its rainy, having glass of red wine, perhaps a fire in the fireplace with the lights turned down low. Such a smooth and sultry voice. Goosebumps, baby, GOOSEBUMPS! While most of the songs are covers of other singer/songerwriters, even Broadway and film tunes, he makes them his own. His version of "Candle on the Water' (Dsiney's Pete's Dragon/Helen Reddy)is my favorite. It evokes longing and desperation. It's like he beleieves in every word, every note. Each Sentance is filled with sincerity and emotion. My only problem is this, 'Where is CD #2?????????

If you have yet to discover Dwayne Britton, then you have been cheating your romantic self. Britton truly adds steam to the room with this collection of songs of life and romance.
Certainly you would not consider some of these songs in the romance category, but this man could sing the phone book and arouse your attention. So when your clothes start coming off, slip on this sultry collection.

There is a reason this album so far has 5 star reviews because it is just that good. Dwayne voice is so expressive that you feel the emotion he has put into each and every song. The album tells a tale. I find myself listening to it on repeat. It's a great mix and you will not regret purchasing this album.

Dwayne Britton's music is so much more than just showtunes, cabarets, and easy listening. It is the rare chance to actully live the stories being told in the music. Anyone can sing a song but it takes a true artist to really make the songs come alive. His versions of WHY and MORE THAN THIS will move you beyond belief. Don't miss this one!

This collection of songs is stunning from beginning to end.

The set opens with an invitation to join Britton on a journey into the world of imagination. Right from the start, we know that we're in good hands as we're being lead on this musical odyssey.

The songs are thoughtfully chosen and expertly grounded by the brilliant accompaniment of acoustic guitar, violin and piano.

Stand out tracks for me: "The Song Remembers When" an excellent reinterpretation of the Trisha Yearwood track. The truth of the title rings through every word.

"Rainbow Connection" - urging the journey ever forward.

"Candle on the Water" - from Disney's "Pete's Dragon." Beautifully reassuring: "I'll never let you go."

"Go the Distance" - also from Disney, this time from "Hercules." It's a signature tune for Dwayne, the conclusion to this journey, with a promise of more to come.

My most favourite: the gorgeous cover of Annie Lennox's "Why." The emotion and pathos of the original are not lost in either the acoustic guitar arrangement, nor in the gender swap of a male lead vocal. It gives me chills every time I play it.

Curiosity is what drove me to purchase Dwayne Britton's debut record. Anyone bold enough to tackle a song like Annie Lennox's "Why" is certainly worth listening to. And I'm very happy I did.
This record has quickly become a favorite of mine. Everything about it is wonderful, from the song selection to the musical arrangements. There is certainly no denying that Britton is an extraordinarily talented vocalist. Just listen to the way he interprets "Baker Baker" (a Tori Amos tune) or his breathtaking reading of Kerrigan & Lowdermilk's "Run Away with Me". Most modern pop stars could only wish they had this type of vocal ability and emotional resonance. I can honestly say that I look forward to whatever may come next from Dwayne Britton.
And, for the record, his version of "Why" is absolutely stunning.

Dwayne Britton Dwayne is a rare-breed of talent. His voice carries each song to a point where little accompaniment is needed. Dwayne's delivery is strong and contributes to powerfully simple vocals in "she's got a way" and "why". "Run away with me" and "more than this" are also songs not to be overlooked. I also never thought I would find myself fond of the song "Moon River" but realized Britton's version was often set to repeat while I plugged some stressful nights away at work. Britton's CD is one that grew on me with each listen and I look forward to his next album.

Dwayne Britton is going to command audiences to stand up and take notice! I have already written a review that will appear in the August issue of Savvy Women Magazine, but here on Amazon I must say a few more words on Dwayne's behalf!

This man is engaging to listen too...words from the songs will be driven into your heart to stay forever. Enjoy the sensation Dwayne will leave you with...long after the last song is sung. I have found in Dwayne an artist who not only sings the words, he is spelling out for you a story with each track. The work that has gone into this cd is a masterpiece all on it's own.

I adore this man's vocal artistry so much, the CD is with me every day. If you want to feel happy for hours on end, purchase this CD. Dwayne has made a mark on the world, and his debut is one of the finest works I have listened too. His vocals are entrancing, engaging and to live with complete honesty I must say here and now, Dwayne Britton is going to rise and reach the pinnacle of success..!

To Dwayne on a personal note, thank you for the joy this CD brings me daily!!! There is so much happiness permiating from this disc, I can only urge the buying public with my words and hope they find the beauty that lives within you and welcome all of your talent into their home as well as their hearts.

I first discovered Dwayne's music on MySpace. I immediately went to iTunes and downloaded his songs. His voice is powerful, peaceful and tranquil. It's hard to pick out a favorite, "More than This" would probably be first, with "Why" and "Run Away with Me" coming a very close second.

Most of my friends work in the theatre here in NY and I'm buying several copies of his CD to give to them-that's how much I like his music.

Listen to his sample songs and buy his CD. I hope Dwayne will be "Going the Distance" in his career after the premiere of this CD.
