It has been two years since defense attorney, Carla Summers met homicide detective, Nick Brunetti in Shadow of Death. They are now happily married and learning to adapt as newlyweds. Among the usual modifications that most couples face, Carla learns that someone is watching her every move.
What she doesn't know is that Carlos, her ex-husband is searching for a disk he believes she has in her possession.

Melody Ravert was born in 1961 and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents who served in War World II. Although she has lived in various towns in both Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties, Melody has resided in Maryland all her life.
She wrote her first book, "Shadow of Death" at the age of forty and in seven short years has written six books, three e-books, and numerous short stories and articles. She has started her own self-publishing company, and is a distributor for personalized children's books.
Recently nominated 'VIP Woman of the Year' by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) 2009-2010, Melody Ravert is available for speaking engagements and writer's workshops.
Ms. Ravert has written several articles for publications and is an examiner for Examiner.com.
