I was very pleased to find this in the used book section of Amazon, and I recall reading this book when it first came out. In the late eighties, codependence was a major buzzword in nursing. This book was and still is, the best descriptor of the phenomenon.

what I liked: it has a detailed description of the elements of codependence; the self-assessment; and the action plan for personal and organizational codependence. each of these is still relevant today
