3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok
Not a huge fan of these guys. They are a little too androginous for me. There are a few good songs on here, the rest are sub-par. If you have ever seen a picture of this band that says it all. They sound just like they look. But this is typical emo these days. So if you are into the whold tight pants fad you'll love this.

I've been listening to this CD since it's release date, at least once a week without fail. I am a huge fan of the Post Hardcore genre and this band is by far the most satisfying album yet. Lyrics are catchy, Instruments perfect. Being from Vegas i hear lots of stories about these guys which give great insight to the lyrics, some lyrics give their opinion on matters they've had to deal with and fights and struggles they've been involved in. Other's show their interests and hobbies, good and bad. You will be satisfied with this album, i guarantee it

Honestly, I had every track on this CD before it was released. I paid for this album anyway, because I thought it was that good. A lesson that if you make good music people will support you anyway.

However, there are people who would not be happy in heaven. Who will tell you how sorry they are to have heard this disc, and rave about the EP.. which I don't understand, because I listened to them when they first debuted on Epitaph's homepage, and think they've only gotten better.

The only thing I found I did not like on the full length was that two of the songs I really liked on the EP (As You're Falling Down, and The Ransom.) were not present on their full length. I'd have liked them to replace 'The Day I Left The Whom' with 'As You're Falling Down'. That would have overall added one more heavy, and very powerful song to this album.

But, I guess if they put ALL the good songs on the album then nobody would buy the EP, and just wait for this CD. (I'd have bought the EP too if Hot Topic had it.. but they only had the full album. =[)

Everyone in the band excluding the drummer has a place in the vocals which makes for a wonderful harmony alongside the screaming guitars, and rhythmic drums. I found the lyrics to actually be nice contrary to what others have posted; at times they do strike a dull note I'll admit.

Some of the songs are a little more mainstream rock sounding such as Situations, and the single Not Good Enough For Truth In Cliche. So if a little variation does not scare you go ahead and pick this album up.

This is the best cd ever! If you are in to the emo/screamo/nu-metal/hardcore/etc you will love it. I love all the lyrics. The songs have amazing guitar riffs and the vocals are awesome. Their music makes you want to jump up and down and scream.

4.0 out of 5 stars This genre has since disappeared..., December 30, 2011

Really good album if you liked the alternative scene from the early 2000s... Not like their new work, but in my opinion that's a good thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Escape the Fate!, December 23, 2011
This review is from: Dying Is Your Latest Fashion (Audio CD)
Ok, I know I'm going to get crap for the title by some people, but ETF isn't the same without Ronnie. Everyone has their own opinion right?

Tracks:

1. The Webs we Weave - **** It's a decent song. Not my fave from this CD though. The lyrics predict what is gonna happen to Ronnie in the future though. Kinda creepy xD

2. When I Go Out I Want to go out on a Chariot of Fire - ***** Definitely one of my favorite songs. It has a lot of emotion in the lyrics, and it's super catchy :D

3. Situations - **** Meh... It's one of their "mainstream" tracks. Personally, I think it's just a little bit too overrated. But, hey, it has a really catchy beat.

4. The Guillotine - ****** Yep, 6 stars. That's how great of a song it is. It's mostly Ronnie screaming. :DD

5. Reverse the Curse - *** It's probably my least favorite song on the entire CD. I don't even know why, but I don't really like it all too well.

6. Cellar Door - **** This song is great. There's this creepy aura that surrounds it.

7. There's No Sympathy for the Dead - ***** My third favorite on this CD.

8. My Apocalypse - ***** The lyrics in this song are great. And I like how this song starts out all soft then gets into screaming later on :DD

9. Friends and Alibis - **** Not one of my faves. It's still a decent song though.

10. Not Good Enough for Truth in Clichè - ***** I really like this song. It's soft, and catchy. However, the old version is better than the one on this CD.

11. The Day I Left the Womb - ******* MY FAVORITE SONG on this CD. It has the most emotion in it. It's fairly simple to play, but it has so much meaning.
