5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful read!, March 31, 2000

This review is from: Dylan And The Baby Doctor (And Baby Makes Three: The Delacourts Of Texas) (Special Edition, 1309) (Paperback)
After her husband nearly ruins her life and career with his addiction to painkillers, Dr. Kelsey James gets a divorce and moves to Los Pinos, Texas with her son, Bobby. There, she helps Lizzy Adams-Robbins run the local clinic, and tries to rebuild her life. Then Bobby is kidnapped and Kelsey is desperate to find him before it's too late.

Private Investigator, Dylan Delacourt is called in to help search for the three year-old. Dylan suspects that Kelsey isn't telling all the information she knows. Since he lost his own son to his ex-wife when they divorced, he finds it difficult to trust Kelsey. But they will need to learn to trust each other with their secrets before they will be able to find Bobby.

Sherryl Woods always gives you something to smile about and warm your heart when reading her books and this series within a series is no different.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very pleasurable read!, November 28, 2011
This review is from: Dylan And The Baby Doctor (And Baby Makes Three: The Delacourts Of Texas) (Special Edition, 1309) (Paperback)
Dylan and the Baby Doctor by Sherryl Woods
Silhouette Special Edition # 1309 - March 2000
Book # 14 of the 18 book series "And Baby Makes Three"

Kelsey moved to Texas to get her and her son far away from her ex-husband and to start over. Now as a Pediatrician, she runs her own clinic with her best friend and partner. In recent years, Dylan's been feeling regret at giving up visitation rights to his son. At the time of his divorce it seemed like the best thing for the boy. Now while visiting his sister, Dylan's called to help out in a local kidnapping. When he meets Kelsey, he's instantly drawn to her, but when he learns that she had sole custody of her son, he can't help feeling sympathy for the boys father who has taken him.

Although this story is part of a very long series, it does stand on it's own. Ms. Woods did a great job of getting me to feel what her characters were feeling. Kelsey's anguish and fear for her missing son, and her struggle with her growing attraction to Dylan. Dylan's doubts on if he can be unbiased, and his strong sense of duty. All are great characters. The plot is well done, with some very tense moments. Sadly, because of the kidnapping suspense the romance was more tender than I'm used to in a Special Edition. However, perhaps Ms. Woods felt that best because of the seriousness of a missing child. All in all a very pleasurable read!
