I've used a bunch of different cable labeling solutions (I teach cable installation). The Rhino 101 is a great field solution where you can't make labels ahead of time. Two great features: 1 - NO BATTERIES! that will always go dead in the field. 2 - it uses plastic labels with a clear part that wraps over the white label part. The labels can be removed and reapplied, but not recommended. The only fault with the device is the gadget that is supposed to eject the label doesn't work great, but it isn't necessary, it is easy to pull the label out by hand. The other fault is the role of labels has a tendency to jam (they are loose in a role). THe pen works very well and has a place to store it on the dispenser. You can't beat the price.

I bought this on a whim because it looked like something I'd find useful, and it was on sale at my local cabling supplier. At first, I found it a little difficult to write on without the label moving, and I struggled to get labels to feed through the right hole on the front of the labeler. After about 10 minutes, I got the hang of it, and now I think this little thing is almost invaluable. If you are doing cabling installation, it's a great tool to have. I was doing a quick label job of some cable I need to punch down, and it was a LOT faster than using the full-on labeler that I usually use (Rhino 5000). the labels aren't as good-looking, but if you're just making some quick and dirty, temporary labels, you can't beat the 101.

My biggest complaint is regarding the label feed-out window. Unfortunately, I had it happen a lot where the label would loop under that window and I'd have to open the labeler to get to it. My "fix" is to hold the labeler slightly closed as I feed out the label -- not enough to cut it, but just enough to straighten it out a bit. Once I figured that part out, things were smooth-sailing.
